I just received T&T yesterday, and I'm enjoying immensely. I'm also enjoying the music as well...but I have one question/remark....did Capcom just reuse the GBA music? I mean it doesn't sound as refined/"updated" as JFA/AA's music for the DS versions. It sounds like a straight port of the GBA's.

Great game so far...on Case 3 right now...

Thanks for any info.

Yeah, there is DS Touches in it...For example, Inform the Truth just reeks of DS freshness! =P

I have the original GBA Soundtrack on the comp - I DO hear subtle touch ups, here and there...but nothing as groundbreaking as number 1.

And against popular opinion: Pursuit-Cornered Remix on Case 5 = WIN!!! XDD

The midi set was definitely updated, though perhaps not quite to the lengths the first two games were. The sound fidelity sounds crisper and clearer here on the DS than on the GBA, and the deeper and more robust sounding bass and drum samples benefit nicely.

The differences become far more noticeable once you've spent a significant amount of time with the game. Play the DS game for a while (using good headphones, of course!) and then try going back to listening to the original GBA score.

I have never even seen the GBA version. Was it for sale in the US?

Oh I absolutely have to agree with you there. ♥ That was too damn epic for words.

I'm looking everywhere for the DS-refined music from JfA and T&T. Well, okay, not everywhere. It's not on Galbadia Hotel from what I can see; they have the GBA versions, but, it's just not as pretty :c

You have to have no ears if you can't tell the difference between the GBA music and DS music. The most changed track is Godot's theme. While the music touch-ups aren't as drastic, they are not the GBA versions.
