I think Mia loved Diego a great deal as we can see in her determination to nail Dahlia (that case wasn't really for Phoenix's sake although it may partly have been for Terry, but it is Diego who is mentioned as her motivation- we know she insisted on taking it only the night before), but I don't think she liked what he became. Godot may have been Diego in body, but even he admits that he threw everything he believed in away to pursue his revenge against Phoenix. There's even that exchange in the second case, where its clear they recognize each other and while Godot is to stunned to even speak, Mia calls him "Prosecutor" in a way that I think would have been sarcastic (maybe even mocking) if this was voiced. He's not Prosecutor Godot or Mr. Godot, but just Prosecutor almost like she's putting some distance between them. She talks at the end about how Phoenix saved Diego in the only way possible, for the first time calling him Diego (this could be because Phoenix wasn't supposed to know before this I guess, but who Godot was wasn't really a mystery after 3-4, so I think that by that point he was Diego again and not Godot). I believe she even uses the same prosecutor distinction when they're about to call Maya to the stand. I think she says "Is this really okay, Prosecutor (she may call him Mr. Prosecutor, but its the same point)?" And he responds something and adds "Madame Attorney." Its no mystery who Mia is, so why the formal term. I think its because there is a distance there now. As dedicated as Mia was, I can't see her being okay with Diego's decision to give up everything he believed in all to pursue Phoenix. I may be reading into all this to much though.
