.. or did any of you guys find T&T to be a helluva lot easier then the previous games?

Case 2 was pretty challenging till you got all the pieces together, and 1 & 3 were kinda eh... but Case 1, 4, and 5? omfg D= They're too easy (it sounded like case 5 was going to be harder then hell...) Case 4 was pitiful, I went thru it so fast I didn't get my needed dose of young Edgy and Diego D= It was way too easy...

Just curious, did anyone else find this game alot easier then the other 2?

I found certain cases to be, but to me, JFA was the easiest of the three. I'll admit, cases 1, 2, and 4 were easy for me on this [AKA I didn't have to use a strategy guide or I had minimal use of a strategy guide {Case 2, in particular}.], I found the difficulty of cases 3 and 5 to make me have to use a strategy guide A LOT.

In JFA, I didn't need a strategy guide until closer to the end of the insanely EPIC case 4.

...Maybe it just depends on the player, right?

I found the third one to be the easiest too.. but it could also be because I learned some of the tricks from the previous games. I think they were a bit more direct with their clues this time around too. (maybe some people were complaining the first 2 games were too hard?)

For example:
Spoiler: subtle hint much??
(paraphrased)
When referring to the picture of the burning bridge:
:godot: You'll have to turn this court upside down to find a contradiction, Trite.
 Upside down?? Why did he say that just now?
:ack: LYKOMG NOWAI!!
:object: That picture is upside down!!
:spit: OMEGAHHH HE'S RIGHT! WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT??

I forget how easy the first one was, since it's been a while, but JFA took me forever and I needed help on at least a few things in cases 3 and 4... T&T made me feel smart, though. I beat it in 10 days and figured everything out myself. There were times when I was tempted to look in a walkthrough or ask for help, but I was determined to do everything on my own. Also, I'd learned some stuff from JFA, like remembering that you can present profiles and that some statements have to be pressed twice, and that a lot of times when a Psyche-Lock shows up, you don't have all the evidence you need for it immediately. I also learned from the first game to recognize when the judge is about to ask for evidence and save right then.

I think it's because we're all so used to the previous games we played, we've picked up a few things for our logic-box in our heads. XD But yes, T&T felt EXTREMELY easy to me, and to me, >> << >> Mia was WAAAAAAAAY more of a rookie than Phoenix EVER was. And all those hints were annoying.

I never read any spoilers, but I'm pretty good at predicting the cases. And with the previous' games in my head, it wasn't too hard trumping them. But yeah, I guess it's cause we're all 'used' to the games now.

I was constantly looking at the walkthrough for JFA, haven't had to use it once for this game... trial and error is evil XP

While I do think, as someone else pointed out, that we've gradually grown better at solving the cases by now, T&T did seem a bit easier. The need for trial and error/saving before each Cross-Exam seems to have been cut down by a substantial amount. I had to use GameFaqs several times for JFA, but only twice in T&T, and one was because I was stupid and didn't follow through on a line of testimony.

I thought T&T was pretty easy as well. Especially case 5. It felt like there was always someone telling you exactly what the contradiction was. And that you also had to present the same evidence a few times...

JFA was tougher for me. The end of 2-3 totally stumped me.

Spoiler:
For some reason I was convinced that Acro had chucked the stupid bust, and that it had fallen through the patched up hole in Moe's ceiling. There is a hole there! It's a valid theory! 'Course after I got game over and checked a walkthrough, I felt pretty dumb B:

T&T definately was easier for me than the other two games, but I think it's because I was finally thinking like the game wanted me to think. I had gained enough experience of the series from the earlier two games, so my thinking was better. And the fact that there was no gameplay changes (like Psyche Locks in JFA), so there was nothing new to get to master. And because Psyche Locks were introduced to us in JFA, they were now A LOT easier to master than when playing the previous title for the first time.

I did have some difficulties with the last case, but I never used any FAQ's unlike I did with JFA. I'm happy about it, as it's so nice to figure things out on your own.

To be honest I slightly agree, but that's only because I needed a walkthrough for some bits of one and two but only one time for three. Also I think the fourth case was too easy, but I think it was just a plot-line case anyway. But on the other hand, maybe it was just because I had the experience from the other 2 games?

I feel stupid. I had serious issues with case four. Possibly because I had been playing for about nine hours that day and was burnt as hell. XD

Well, i hate to admit, but TaT was the first PW game i played. bad, i know. i picked up PW:AA a few days ago though, and hopin to find JFA too. i found TaT very hard for me, but maybe because i was new. im finding PW:AA to be very easy though.

I agree with MercuryKitten. I too had a lot of trouble with 3-4. There was such a small amount of evidence, and you had to re-use a number of them in different ways. I thought figuring this out was fairly challenging. However, it probably is true that overall I had an easier time with T&T than JFA.

I found PW:AA to be the easiest, and JFA the hardest. T&T was only moderately difficult. I used UHS Hints for about 5 things on Case 4 and only twice on Case 5 (which really annoyed me, even though I used hints so much during Case 4 of JFA).

I had to use a walkthrough for the first parts of 2 and 4. A lot of stuff didn't make sense and I didn't figure out to think crazy until 1-4. There was still something to be missed as soon as I dove into 1-5 and 2-3 though. 2-4 was hell and I needed a guide during the investigation phase. Also, I was missing an important detail in 1-4. I needed a walkthrough at the end of 3-4 because there were two nearly identical pieces of evidence that were confusing me. 3-5 is a pain and that's what makes it so much fun. I don't play these very often and I'm making it a goal to play through 3 without a walkthrough and stop for 4 when I can get it in English. Too much of it I don't understand and I don't want to finish it in JAP.

I thought that 3-4 was tough.
Spoiler:
I got stuck on that one CE where you have to present the scarf, because Dahlia says that it is white but it's actually blue. I just didnt think that it was too different of a color to matter. And I mean, I got stuck on that testimony for over an hour and eventually used a walkthrough.

Some of Atmey's CE's got me stuck too...but JFA was easy. I didnt get stuck on anything except for, strangely enough, the first CE of the game. Go figure.

Case 4 was the hardest in the game. It seriously equals 1-5 and 2-4 in terms of difficulty. So many ambiguous and vague contradictions. How are we supposed to see any mud on someone's coat in a black-and-white photo where a simple dark shadow could easily pass as a mud stain?

When you're asked to show how Godot hid the wound, no matter what you present, the first three lines start with Godot saying he has no idea what you're talking about, and he doesn't want to know. I automatically figured I was guessing wrong. I found out that I presented the right evidence, just didn't go through the whole speech. Embarassing XP

My brother did the same thing...I got it on the first go and went right on through with it till I saw Mia fade away and I was like "Oh shnap" but then she comes back and its a happy ending the end.

JFA was hard for me because you had to present sooo many profiles. It was almost like "Show everything to everyone." From what I remember, TnT didn't have as many instances where you had to present profiles to go on, and the times you did they gave you ample hints on which ones.

That one really threw me off when I first saw it. This game had a tendency to present an obvious contradiction as soon as it was amended in the testimony. The problem with this is that it makes it instant fodder for the defense. GS3 did something the first two in the series did not: Fixed this obvious problem. So for the last two cases in GS3 I was going over every testimony with a fine comb...Twice. I'll admit the scarf comment stood out as something strange. I spent about 10 minutes looking through the court record looking for the piece of data that explained why she said it. From there it was a cakewalk.

Whenever there is something even slightly innaccurate, that's something you should press. Remember that it's possible to turn a case around without an objection. Edgey proved that. Still, when there's a contradiction present or something that just seems wrong, you sift through evidence and throw it in the face of that medacious witness.

Sometimes it's not very easy to do. Sometimes it looks damn near impossible. Those ones that seem impossible are usually the quick ticket to an instant turnabout. They're not a tight spot at all. Remember that. In those cases, find a line that troubles you such as something that seems suspicious, you stop at that line and start looking through the court record to see what it is.

Suspicious lines are what make things difficult because most people don't understand what they are let alone what they mean. So far I've seen the following as an instant qualification for objection:
Blatant innaccuracies
Impossible knowledge(Usually the witness knows something they shouldn't. Period.)
Explainable problem(Testimony conflicts with other testimony/evidence)
Unexplainable certainty(Witness appears 100% sure of something "impossible" to dispute)
Weird behavior(Witness appears distraught or has a sudden change of heart)
Anything that seems impossible during the examination.

So far my only problem is getting confused with similar evidence. Too damn many maps and photo arrangements for me. Also, when something appears beyond explanation with evidence, that's when there's a problem with testimony where you should probably start pulling up profiles. I found that to be the logical solution for that.

I really hated a lot of the obvious hinting in TaT. When I figure out some really obscure contradiction on my own and find out I'm right, I always feel victorious. TaT's hinting really took away from that. :c

Even so, I found it fairly challenging in some cases. Dahlia's line saying the murder of 3-1 happened in less than a minute really stumped me for about fifteen minutes. D:

Eh, I found the first to be the easiest, went through it in about three days, used a guide on the last half of case four and a lot of case 5. Never played JFA, but three days of T&T only brought me to the latter half of case 3 so far, and I had to use a guide for some parts, though I tried to only use it when I got really stuck and frustrated. All in all, I'd say the first three cases of T&T are definitely much harder than your average AA case. Case 5 in AA felt tacked on and sort of needed guesses, too, so I'd have to say it is harder than T&T so far, though. =/

AA - The only part that caught me was the end of Rise from the Ashes, where Gant tells you to present the piece of Neil's vest. I was used to doing the "right" thing from the rest of the game.

JfA - I think the only problem I really had was figuring out the final piece of evidence and who to show it to; I'd broken Matt's locks late the previous night so I forgot what he said about not trusting assassins...

T&T - ...I really, really did not want to have to get help on this one, but
Spoiler: 3-2
Atmey's first testimony on the second day drove me up the wall. Pressing him twice didn't even occur to me.
Also, I think I was hung up for a bit on part of
Spoiler: 3-5
"Iris'" testimony.

So I guess I found T&T hardest overall. It just didn't seem like it with some of the points being incredibly obvious to me.

For me, JFA was the hardest because it was the first one I played. Looking back, it wasn't that hard. AA was the easiest, with Rise from the Ashes being the hardest case of the game, and possibly of the series. T&T I passed fairly quickly, and only used a guide a few times because it was my last resort. So, I think that one was the hardest until I accidentally looked at some spoilers.

Wrong.

Spoiler: 3-2
Ron was found innocent of stealing the Sacred Urn. Which he didn't anyway.

There's no reason he couldn't have been tried for stealing the other items listed in Kane's binder, but the reasoning more or less went "Well, Mask*jazzhands*deMasque stole those other treasures, and we decided Atmey was Mask*deMasque when he stole the Sacred Urn, so there's no way Ron could have stolen the other treasures." :yuusaku:

Nooot exactly. The trial wasn't to convict Ron of stealing the urn, or at least, not just that.

It was to convict him as Mask(star)DeMasque. If they couldn't prove he stole it, that means that HE didn't steal the items in general, since he was Mask(star)DeMasque.

logic is confusing,
but seriusly, he was put on trial for stealing one thing, shouldn't he be tried for stealing the other things as well? because he says he wasn't convicted of being mask demasque, but last i checked, it wasn't against the law to have an alternate identity. am i right?

Justice for All, for me, wasn't hard so much as it was just ridiculous. Honestly. No one could have possibly predicted the events that transpired in 2-3. Not even the murderer knew what had happened!

While I don't want to say Trials and Tribulations was easy, there certainly were a lot of gimme's.
Spoiler:
Mia: If she wanted to poison him... It must be in there!

The whole upside-down bit in 3-5 made me audibly "Ugh".
Spoiler:
Not to mention the body being transported by pendulum. I don't think anyone can think something up that insanely useful on the spot like that. Plus, I found it immensely confusing.

All the same. This game had its share of challenges. It certainly hammers into your skull that you need to think outside the box. Otherwise, if we aren't, we might as well call our clients guilty before we even hear them out.

I don't know.. I thought the third game was the hardest, but the main reason was because it seemed like I KNEW WHAT I wanted to say, but I just could never get the right evidence/testimonies together, for some reason!

After I beat the game I went back and replayed the first game, which has been about a year since I've last played it.. and realized how friggen easy the first couple cases were. Almost laughably easy
