What's the significance of the Mask DeMasque scribble on the newspaper in case 3? It's in Glen Elg's handwriting, right? I thought it might've been drawn by Tigre to symbolize... stealing... just for the heck of it. I dunno.

And at the beginning of case 2, Maya's like, "We're about to hit the big time!"
Nick: "What? You mean you and I are...?"
Maya: "Ha! Don't be silly!"

I noticed the Mask*deMasque scribble too, but after he didn't come up again in the entire case I'm forced to conclude that it doesn't have any significance and was only there as a cameo for the more attentive players. Who knows, maybe Glen Elg was a fan of Mask*deMasque.

I took this to mean that Phoenix worried whether Maya had finally cracked under Pearl's pressure and wanted them to be together romantically... something to which I can't say I was opposed, actually...

For the quote, Phoenix was just confused. He didn't understand how he was about to "hit the big time." He probably figured it was something he would have had some clue about (Besides Maya was always doing things without his permission. He was probably terrified and I don't blame him honestly). Maya quickly corrects him and says its her and Pearl. I don't remember the symbol. The important part was the name scribbled on the paper.
