The sales figures for JFA are very encouraging, I think Capcom would be fools not to translate it.

We don't know if there will be one yet, but it is looking very promising at this point. It's been said by a Capcom admin on the official Capcom forums that JFA sales in the US would determine if AA3 would ever see the light of day outside Japan, and the game sold more in two weeks than the first game did in months, so take that for what it's worth. Not to mention the contest they're having now, too.

We're not 100% sure, but most likely, it will. JFA sales are doing great, and I do not know why Capcom would waste a perfect chance for money. Godot

But if they will relese it, they must make it earlier then Gyakuten Saiban 4, am I right???

And Gyakuten Saiban 4 must be relesed in Japan soon, so it means (if they will make Phoenix Wright 3) that it must be released even sooner then Gyakuten Saiban 4

Of course it will be here before GS4! They might even be translating it as we type. However, don't get your hopes up too high. Not too many game companys listen to thier customers. But, hopefully, the JFA sales will convince them to release GS3!*

*And GS4

The contest, in my eyes, is a very clear indication that GS3 is being release in America. After all, why would they even have that contest is GS3 wasn't going to be release here? Its not like that kind of thing actually decide whether or not a game is localized...

I am personally expecting for an announcement in March *hope I am Wright ^^*.

May I reminded you that GS4 releasing this April in Japan will be Japanese only; no language switching option available. So it doesn't mean much to us who can't read Japanese. AA4 should be released much much later than GS4 (I'd say 1-2 years), and also not before AA3.

AA3 are still considered a new game outside Japan, which makes me think that they won't giving out 3 and 4 in such a close interval as that'll hamper sales for both titles (You've got to give people some time for the hype from the previous title to die out and to save up money for the next one. Games aren't cheap, are they?). So the next question is, how long do we have to wait for each of them? Well, localization of a text-heavy game does take time, quite a long one I assured you. And Capcom US might not have started it's AA3 project yet, or it might have by now, but not until very recently. Assuming from the previous title; AA2, the localization process for each titles should takes around 5-7 months, and there're still production, marketing, promotional, etc. processes which needs to do afterwards. So I suspect that there'll be an interval of 7-12 months between each titles, which makes it around 14-24 months from now for AA4.
Anyway, that's just my opinion. There aren't any news or confirmation from Capcom yet, and I'm no Capcom insider either. So it might as well be just two cents from me. I can't wait for those sequals too, and if what I've been saying were proved to be wrong, I'd be happy too.

Here's me throwing in my own two cents.

Fact: GS3 has no Mechanic Enhancements over GS2.
Fact: GS4 is not being translated in this release.
Fact: It's been 3 Years as of the last new GS in Japan

Now, with that out of the way. Here are my assumptions and guess work. Without GS4 being localized, Capcom Japan's Localization team can focus on GS3's script. This can be said from out perspective without breaking anything we've thus far heard.

Next, Capcom Japan's programmers were hard at work with the GS4 engine. With GS3 that effort is null and void. The GS2-DS engine can be recycled at a minium investment. All that remains are the backgrounds and oversized sprites, and that is mostly photoshop resizing and pulling out the old art archives.

Really, GS3 would be the cheapest title to port over and I personally don't see it

I certainly hope they decide to bring over AA3; it wouldn't be right to leave us hanging with JFA.
I wanna meet Godot and see the end of Phoenix's trilogy! Matt
As far as sales go, JFA was selling well- at least, where I am; I bought it, and I got all my friends to buy it too. Now they're also hooked on Phoenix Wright, and I'm sure they'd agree that AA3 has got to be brought over.

Not to mention, if AA3 is released, then there's a fair chance that Odoroki's title might be brought over as well (I hope so; I adore Oroki! :3)

Everyone wants to see it released. And hopefully we will.

That contest of Capcom's ends tonight, so could it be possible we'll be hearing something soon? Right now, the anguish of not knowing is worse than the anguish that comes with having to wait for it's release.

All I can say for now is..

Just wait and see.

JFA was announced during PW:AA's mediocre sales. JFA is selling pretty well so I think there's a good formula here.

As it has been pointed out above, this quote specifically refers to the GS4 releasing this April in Japan, not AA4. Your statement doesn't seem relevant to the quote, and whether or not AA4 is going to be released outside Japan is still yet to be decided.

Holy crap this got offtopic good and fast.

I still think that Capcom would be RETARDED to change Godot's name. Waiting for Godot is a French/English play, it would work.

Javado Beckett just sounds so stupid.

I like the name they gave him in the fantranslation, Sylvester.

well even if capcom does decide to translate gs 3 and 4 to america there is still one thing that will cause a problem. How long it takes capcom to actually translate a game to america. Roughly it takes them about 4 to 5 maybe even 6 months to translate a game to the stateside. so even if we heard the news of it coming to the states, still means we will be waiting a good amount of time for it to actually hit shelfs. and if there going to announce it coming to the states my guess theyd do it and E3 or some other gaming event.
