I get the impression that she could probably use a potato peeler to devastating defensive affect.
I'd probably think he'd have wanted her to learn on her own. She doesn't seem the type to back down easily, and she became quite defensive when initially confronted in the game. Eventually, though, she would probably have admitted (if not for Phoenix's power of saying the right thing to make a girl cry) to herself that there was nothing in this, and moved on.
Besides, as a crime boss, he probably knew that crying girls are money in the bank.
