Ok, so I was reading the Entertainment section in my newspaper, when a specific article caught my eye. It was a paragraph about the TV program The Sopranos, and it mentioned the name of a character from the show. He's a mobster and a hitman, and his name is Furio Guinta.

Could Furio Tigre's name be a reference to the name of Furio Guinta?

Furio is an Italian name. Generally, Italian names can refer to The Godfather and old 20th century crime rings, so yeah. Furio Tigre might be referring to that. However, I think they're more referring to the pun, "Furio Tigre" which would suggest "Furious Tiger".

Yeah, it could just be a coincidence.
