Hmm... kind of hard to tell. The guy could have been trolling the capcom-unity forum. In fact, that story has been posted more than once on those forums, yet there's no evidence he did it at all. Guess we'll know if Sven says something.

That said, misrepresenting yourself as an active member of a charity foundation is stupid, irresponsible, and potentially makes the charity look bad as well. I really hope he isn't with Make-A-Wish, and I hope he just made the whole thing up.

I wonder if it's really easy to get Sven on the phone... (or at least to get to his voicemail)

Anyway, what the guy (claims he) did is awful, but I don't think the info is that surprising... There's been absolutely no news (or hints or anything) about it lately, so what reason is there to think otherwise?

If you read the thread at Capcomunity, there's technically not a lot to suggest he was lying about the Make-A-Wish thing. He just said he told Sven that he's "from" there. For all we know he could very well work for that organization.

The guy was most likely a troll, if you continue reading the topic you'll get it from his behaviour. On the other hand, just a few days before this post, (decent) AA fans from Capcom-Unity have started a movement similar to Operation Rainfall that tries to convince Capcom to release AAI2 in the US, Operation Objection! I know it is maybe too late for this, but it doesn't hurt to help. Here is the link to the group, please join it: http://www.capcom-unity.com/operationobjection

People were discussing this on the forum, I think we should wait a bit until more people are gathered. We only have 70 people.

As stated in the preceding trial minute, I'm not in the mood to put words in Sven's mouth. That said, According to Go Nintendo with the last "Ask Capcom"
http://www.gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=176218
Quote:
- still pushing for it
- talks with Capcom Japan continue
- talks have been "encouraging" and "optimistic"
- a decision won't be in the near future
- DS release is still not in the cards

Encouraging and Optimistic is new for me. But that's still a tumbleweed for "SVEN'S CONFIRMED AAI2" that I'd rather not roll.

Well I'm a patient man never even expected as much as "optimistic" kinda assumed when they made the initial decision on not-localising it they had just set their minds into the profit margins mode. Especially after the hard shunt they gave the Megaman fanbase but whatever that's some nice news at least even if it's nothing major.

Only problem I'll have is if it's an iphone/android exclusive release since DS is not an option.

All too true Woost

Though like I said elsewhere recently, any support for a franchise I like even if I never see it is good.

Yeah, as far as I know "optimistic" and "encouraging" is new, but it's hardly indicative of anything.
