@DS: No, because people use the word "google" to tell someone to search something from the web or when telling someone they have search something from the web.

Also, you may have missed the reply I posted just before you as your post made it to the new page.

Google is maybe the most known search provider when speaking about the whole world. Also, a typical "search this with a search provider" smiley usually has the text "Google" in it (reference: Image) and people talk about googleing when asking people to search something in the Internet.

That said, it's understandable why it says Google and not "Google, Yahoo, MSN, Altavista etc.".

Ohhhhh. OK! Sorry.

The official site for the "go ogle" revelation has been cleverly hidden by the people at Google. After all, they have enough funds to do so. :sadshoe:

Well then its prolly not real, cause I cant see them throwing funds out for sure a dumb reason. Also Why would they care if anyone knew, if they didn't want people to know it wouldn't be "hidden" by a single space

1) Theres no proof
2) Who covers up NAMES!?!? Really, No one would give a damn. They could announce it out loud. It doesn't matter... No one spends thousands of dollars to cover up some thing so unimportant

Google is the highest number there is a word for.
It is a "1" followed by 100 "0".
Or,
10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

IT IS important, E... erm, Balrock. Because the word 'ogle' is taboo in some countries, may affect the whole organisation's profitable growth (in business).

At first glance, it seemed alright since that this originated from the West. But NOT until they found out that 'ogle' brings negative POV from the countries in the East (starting from the Mid East wayyyy to the Far East) therefore they must cover-up the matter.

Remember that these organisations have competitors (Yahoo, Altavista, etc....) therefore they need to do it for the sake of survival. Else Google would've never stand a chance to be one of the world's top Search Engines up to this day.

@Donald Serrot: Yahoo may also have that long ooooooooo's like Google has. See, Yahoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo (infinitely)~
Back to smileys topic.... we need more :salute: ones.

1) They would spend money covering it up, If that was the case, they just wouldn't have named it that, Its that simple
2) Yahoo = Not a number
Google = number

De Killer Assassination Technique: TOPIC STOP!!

Okay. You all need to stop arguing about this conspiracy about Google, it's underlying meaning, more numbers than atoms in the known universe, etc. crap. This topic is known as the "New Smilies' thread. Were you talking about a google smiley? A smiley about someone involved in any kind of actual conspiracy? No? Well then...

Now your punishment!!

*Hands off a Yaoi stick over to the nearest sadistic girl, who then proceeds to whack everyone participating in the off-topic rant*

Now that you're physically and emotionally bruised, does anyone have any new smilies they would like to share...? Unfortunately for me, I have the artistic talent of a three year old, so it would be impossible for me. But I digress...

Meh, what can ya do. I don't think there'd be much use for a smilie like that anyway. xD' I just made it because I enjoy pixel art and I felt like making...something, 'cause I haven't in a long time, so I found an easy-to-make animation. x: Whatever~ I kinda dislike Wellington anyway. *shot*

I know Smileys don't have arms, but the arms are essential to that pose. The hands can't be done without adding arms, right? Or do you have any suggestions how to pull that off?

If the smiley is made without any hands, it will look like this: Image
That doesn't really look good because the pose is missing.

It's way better without arms, I think. Yes, the pose is missing, but it looks more 'natural' like that.

For the same reason that making a smily too similar to the original animation makes it look odd: a graphical emoticon is a caricature of the emotion it's supposed to represent; or in this case the person.

Rather ironic that we're making a caricature of a caricature, but that's what we do here. For the record, it looks 100x better without the arms. :)
Does we even do these things anymore?

Well, that's true. Without arms it is then.

I also tried to make Luke's side-pose:

Well, Luke has a pretty long nose and I actually made that by using the actual sprite as a model. I think it's the right size.
