If I recall, and I could be making this stuff up, Cave Story hit trouble when trying to be on WiiWare, it exceeded the max file size. The version that's currently up is listed as "6 x 5MB", which I presume means 30 megs? Assuming that AAI is 64 MB, that'd mean that it'd be still double the limit. Plus, even if it didn't use all that space, some measure of 'unused' space would have to be dedicated for the medium change from DS to eShop. As I doubt Nintendo intends DS games to be downloadable until the next generation hand held, we can't expect Nintendo to make said distribution any easier.

Most likely 3DS,it would be cool, we should just be patient and see what happens.
In MY opinion, I really DONT want them to make it on iphone, the things great but putting a game thats already out on something like iphone isnt right, to ME atleast, it feels degrading but not in the way that the iphone is bad, in the way that Ace Attorney was a great series and is still doing well, why would they just put the next game on something away from its audience and away from gaming.

Because its not their focus, online things like buying stuff and multiplayer work well, but they dont want to overhual it with so many unneeded things, they're a GAMING Manufacturer, not a media manufacturer like Microsoft.

I would personally prefer a DS flash card to complete the collection and keep it neat, but that ship has sailed. I, like many people, am beginning to see an interesting suite of games to play on the 3DS platform, and so by the time this is ready to be released the platform should be a viable option for good sales. iPhone is definitely an interesting choice but I think it would be an awkward match in the West - people would actively wonder why it's jumped off the good ship Nintendo all of a sudden, and for the iPhone market it would have to be sold at an unattractive price point.
However, considering the extra costs associated with manufacturing the carts and the clear perception in the West that Ace Attorney games, especially spinoffs, are not worth full retail price, methinks Capcom will get the most sales for AAI2 by releasing it on the 3DS eShop.
And so long as they get the most sales and the largest profit margin from doing it that way, that's what they'll do. Whether that makes it impossible for certain unlucky fans to buy it or not is not really a concern when they gain far more potential customers than they stand to lose by doing this. They care about their customers as a group, not you individually.
However the real question is how willing Capcom are to push the marketing on this title, because that is going to decide the ultimate fate of the AA franchise. The sudden upswing in cameo appearances and spinoffs is going to help a lot though.
Does we even do these things anymore?

Think we should probably drop the issue Rov. Our opinions are clear but gotta remember this isn't even an announcement we ain't really any closer to a localisation that before.
Plus if we bicker further AAS might get worked up a bit and get banned again so lets just wait and see if any of the future events shed any light on the situation. 10th anniversary court may not be about AAI or AJ but they are still offshoots of the franchise so we may see something.
