One question. Can our characters be related to the original cast? (say, Phoenix's long lost brother, cousin, or son from the future.) Or do they have to be separate from the main cast?

I suppose this is odd for a first post, just wanted to mention that I've entered into the fanart division and my entry is on its way.
I probably won't win many points for originality because my character is a relative of one of the PW regulars AND is yet another girl who chases Phoenix around, but I had fun designing her and that's what counts, right?

1. Am I able to modify the character application? Like adding a "Creator's Note" or "Family & Friends" along with Age & Description & Connections etc? Because I feel like I'm not able to express that character enough without adding more sections, as she's very very special (still human, though). Or should I just add "Family & Friends" and "Creator's Note" as a subsection of the "Brief Background" section?
And is physical description really needed when submitting a clear enough fanart or sprite?
2. And out of curiosity; where are you gonna release the works? And how do the voting work? (that means is the poll gonna be here or on CR?)

Deadline for submissions is June 1st. That's when I'll be sending all the entries out to the judges, who will take a week to review the entries and pick finalists. Final judging will began June 7th, as a poll on the CR main page, and end the 17th.
Winners will be announced the 20th.

Complications with my laptop forced me to improvise w/ some of the sprites (I had to ditch some of my ideas for my entry, including a "pissed", "dying", and "throwing" sprite).
I'm planning on continuing on this character in the future.
This is a little late to ask (I've already sent my entry, after all), but...:
-Is it all right to send more than 1 pic of your character w/ a background, provided it's a "different" image? I had a younger and older version of my character, as well as a "courtroom" shot w/ Wright, Maya, and the judge included (to show my character from a different angle), and I just couldn't make up my mind.
-Did it matter whether we had sent a ZIP file of our entry?
-Did you want the written entry on the email message, or on a separate text file?
Again, I know these questions are a little late in the game, but it's these things that keep me up at night.
For me, the contest was more of an incentive...a little something to strive for.
C'mon! We all have great ideas. Some of us just need the "motivation" to carry them out.
Personally, I'd like to see some VG/Anime/Cartoon characters "Wright-ified" - edited PW-style. Not just a simple sprite rip off of another game, but a complete PW character with animations....heck, even a story to boot!

You already submitted the maximum allowed for a sprite entry, I can only take one of your "screenshots," as per the rules. (But I'd suggest the younger one, as you don't seem to have included it on your sheet).
