Unless another team decides to continue it, same with GS.
Maybe the guys that worked on AAI could do GS5, but I'm not sure if that would happen or not :/

It says he personally considers the series closed with Apollo Justice, but that the fans might be able to nag him into GS5 xD
Also, even if he doesn't make GS5, that doesn't mean GS5 won't be made.

Well, he does "consider the series finished with AJ", unless it's a translation mistakes, it means exactly what it means: for him, there will be no more AA games. They're not talking about him not working on the series anymore, but the series being 'finished'.
Though, the word 'considers' is crucial. It's according to him that the series is 'finished'. Don't think people at Capcom actually think the same way, especially since it's a pretty popular franchise. So, that means we'll probably get GS5 alright, and that he definitely won't be the man behind it. So, I guess you're right about what the article (really) says, though there's no doubt that if it was Takumi who had the power to decide over the future of the series, it'd be the end for sure... and I'm not really sure what is best. No more GS games, or some more GS games, but without his creator working on it.
Guess it'll all depends on who takes over the series.
Precisely. Which makes me think, we'd probably wouldn't get GS5/AAI before 2011 (2012 in US/EU).

I would rather have found this out prior to the release of Ace Attorney Investigations [2009].
Logically, Gyakuten Saiban 5 cannot be released until mid-2012 at least. That would be assuming Takumi or Eshiro starts tomorrow morning. This would make GS5 a release for 2013 in the US/UK.

Trivial: he says he did the original Phoenix voice (we knew that, at least I did), his favourite character is Godot, and that he sees Max Galactica as a reflection of himself. Huh. Also, he says he scripted every single chapter.
Finally, he says that his team is done with DS, and from now on will focus on 3DS. He's specially interested in te 3D camera and the gyroscope.
tl;dr: he never even started working on GS5, considered the series ended with GS4; he doesn't know what he'll work on from now on, undecided between AA and GT; his team is done with DS, will only work with 3DS from now on.
All in all, we're pretty fucked up.
Also, here's him objecting.
I say he should do one last Gyakuten Saiban game, properly advertising it as the final game. And then, he can go on with Ghost Trick or any other ideas he might have, and we'll all like it, since everything Takumi touches seems to be gold.
HOWEVER, he said he considered the series done with GS4. But after GS4 came AAI, though he wasn't invovled in its development. And the AAI team, including Eshiro himself, stated that they would like to work on a sequel. And AAI was probably the best Ace Attorney game so far. This means that Gyakuten Saiban might be dead, but Gyakuten Kenji might not.
Mildly looking forward to Tokyo Game Show for some kind of news.

Takumi is, unless we hear otherwise, not working on Ace Attorney anymore. This isn't entirely new news, since he didn't work on AAI either. If Ghost Trick does well enough he may make that his new series, or may do something else. But AA is already in the hands of another team.
After AAI came out Eshiro said he was interested in doing another Investigations game someday, and also that he expressed interest in working on GS5. Neither game has been confirmed but the important part is, no one has ever said that the Ace Attorney series is being dropped.
And most importantly, even if they did, it's not like CR would close up or disappear, don't worry.
