Made by me and recolored to perfection by Boss Velotix.I believe you can use as many colors/shades as you need to make them look right.
And please, do keep working on your others. Lots of characters have more than one smilie and I actually like how that one you just posted turned out!

Ah about Attempt nr 1 and nr 2.
Nr 1 had a few flaws when it came to Sprite details(End of the hair.)
It got changed in Nr 2, so was the Speed of the sprite. ><
I kinda prefer 2 as well.

Gimp isn't that hard, the difference with other programs is that for animation, you have to input most things manually.
