Pro smily made me break my silence on this topic to compliment it. To reiterate the reason as to why the smilies are not getting extended any longer: in the opinion of the staff there are already too many. Therefore, in order to add new smilies, others will need to be removed first. Just an FYI. |

I am developing a site about a particular anime series and I am interested in smilies like the ones made for this forum—they are very professionally done. I will be offering payment in return. Since I'm a student it won't be a very large amount, but definitely as much as I can manage and enough to make it worth your while. I'd recommend not just shrinking down the faces of the sprites and pasting them on. It's lazy and not particularly effective. Lang's face is too big on the smiley. Yew's face is just a mess of detail. If you look at all the current smileys, not one is a copypasta face. This is why. The rest of Lang is fine, just scratch the face, but Yew needs redoing. The hair and earrings are a mess too.  Sorry to sound overly critical. I made the same mistake early in my smiley making, and similar treatment made me better. |

Full marks. One of the things I think is so brilliant about the Palaeno smiley is its simplicity though... Unlike engarde, galactica and eldoon etc it only requires the two frames for maximum effect! On a slightly unrelated note, I always thought the kyouya smiley you suggested was kinda big, whereas the wall bang one, although overly detailed in the court style, is more compact.... |

The smilie was based on the sprite featured in Croik's avatar and that's why I decided to animate it this way. However, you have a valid point; it does look very simple, especially compared to a few of the other sprites. I will definitely consider making additional frames, yet I'm still not really sure what should they feature.
