In the final issue of Nintendo Power, the staff made a list of the best 285 games on Nintendo devices. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice For All made it at number 119, while the original made it at number 67. Additionally, readers voted Phoenix number 4 in Top 5: Heroes (beating Samus!) and voted the original in one of the games they played because of NP coverage.

Wow Nintendo folks voted Phoenix ahead of Samus?

If that's not a greenlight for Phoenix in Smash Bro's little else is.

NP is ending? :o

Well, glad to hear Nick got that love ^_^

(I'm not sure how they rate T&T above JFA, but... meh)

Out of curiosity, what were the top 10 DS games?

The last issue was top 285 games on Nintendo systems. In the February 2011 issue, they had an article for "must have" DS games
They are- Elite Beat Agents (named best DS game and 13th best game on a Nintendo system), PW:AA, New Super Mario Bros, Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Layton and the Curious Village, World Ends With You, Tetris DS, Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver, Mario Kart DS, and Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
These were in no particular order.
JFA was given a better review than T&T because they think it has a better story and improved gameplay mechanics.

It's got a better final case for sure....dunno how they can argue it has better gameplay mechanics than a game using the same mechanics though...

I think by better gameplay is how JFA introduced the Psych Lock and T&T didn't introduce anything new gameplay wise also, they may be the only people who didn't like Godot, since in the Nintendo Power Awards for 2007, Franny was nominated for Best New Character. Nothing T&T was nominated, only JFA

Slight correction: The editors chose top five heroes, not the readers.

Top DS game was Elite Beat Agents, at 13.

Some other stats from the article you guys might be interested in:

The World Ends with You just barely missed the top 50 at 51
Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors was 80th and Virtue's Last Reward was 103rd
Ghost Trick made it in at 90
Professor Layton and the Curious Village placed 107 while Unwound Future was 101st
Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 ranked 201st
Sadly, Hotel Dusk and Last Window didn't make the list

Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, and 999 also had the second and third best endings respectively, after Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D.

This list's credibility just plummeted

Keep in mind the list covers games of every genre ever released in America on a Nintendo system over the past 30 or so years. The numbers might sound low picked out of the list like that, but looking at everything else that made it, being included at all is a compliment.

Shame about Hotel Dusk, though. Last Window might have had a better chance but it wasn't released over here.

Isn't that a little odd though? I assumed it was the readers, since the editors have placed Samus above Nick every time there has been a list for best heroes.
