Anyone seen wooster lately? He's been missing for a number of weeks now and I am getting worried about him.

And yes, I have tried all contact methods I know of. I haven't had any reply at all.

I thought I remembered something about him leaving for a while. I think he has personal/real-life stuff to do or something. That's just what I remember though so I'm not sure.
I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

He hasn't posted in a month, but it seems he's been on CR; last visit was today, according to his profile.

Yeah, I've seen him lurking around, and he updated his Tumblr about a week ago. I think he (like most of us) is just kind of less active because of the lack of news.

Don't forget the relative lack of spambots; the banhammer hasn't been used in over a week.

He's silently browsing this topic...waiting for the perfect time to strike. It would make a great movie.

Geez how dependant are we? Wooster disappears for a couple weeks and everyone is all "Oh no! How so?!"

Let's just say that he and I have a "collaboration" going and I need him to do his part, since I don't have the required skills.

I've been chatting with him on a regular basis, and I can tell you he seems perfectly fine. There's really no need to worry. :shoe:

However, Fire Emblem : Awakening's coming out this Monday in the US, so expect to see him online even less than usual. In fact, don't be surprised if he doesn't show up at all for a few weeks, ha ha :keiko:

Sorry folks. Didn't mean to put a big fright. I'm almost back. But not quiet yet. Three things have been keeping me away recently in chronological order.

  1. Valkyria Chronicles + PS3 for Christmas. (Amazingly addictive time waster)
  2. MAJOR civil blow up at the farm. I don't want to go into specifics, particularly since it seems to have been resolved as of yesterday, but you guys do warrant an something of an explanation. A person we hired about a year ago has particular ideas about how the farm should be run. A lot of her ideas are great, but she assumes all of her ideas are great by proxy, and continuing that train of thought, that my mother knows nothing. Then my defending my Mother's points only earned me accusations of being fed those ideas. Stress and tensions have only stockpiled since Christmas to the point where there was a lot of yelling and threats this past week which, again, have seemingly been resolved. When I went to my ISP last week, I was physically trembling from the stress the day before.
  3. Which brings me to fights with my ISP.

Compare this process of discontinuing/returning a satellite receiver.

  1. Call Company
  2. Ask to remove receiver
  3. Get approved and sent a box to pack/return the receiver in with a return label.
  4. Drop off at post office.

To returning the ISP's modem to discontinue the lease fee

  1. Buy/Hookup/Setup replacement modem, see that it works.
  2. Take modem to ISP's designated drop off center.
  3. Get told they can't do that.
  4. Call ISP'S HQ.
  5. Get told the drop off center handles that.
  6. Return to drop off center
  7. Get told the HQ person was wrong.
  8. Call HQ again, get informed part of the problem is the account is still 'officially' in my deceased Father's name. Get informed they will happily make the changes once received a faxed death certificate. Then return the modem within 2 weeks.
  9. Fax Death Certificate.
  10. Get mailed form to finalize transfer. Provided a return envelope, but must provide own stamp.
  11. Head to drop off center. Get told you still can't do that. (This trip I am physically shaking from stress from the farm issue.)
  12. Recieve this month's bill. See $2 service charge was added over last month's bill.
  13. Call HQ. Get informed that the Drop off centers don't communicate with HQ's systems. (What the…?) Must mail to HQ. (Step currently at, may or may not involve providing own box and postage. Hopefully the last step. [Chuckle] Yeah right.)

I'd love to drop them like flies after all that, but they're the only ISP on my street.

To be frank, I really didn't want to deal with CR much at all this past month. And without explanation that is especially rude to you, Henke. I've seen the headers from the emails from the logs. You've been busy. I cannot say the same for myself. Most of my online activity has been through my cellphone. But when you've seen me on CR that's (exclusively?) been desktop Safari refreshing the 'top sites' preview. So yes I've been online, but I haven't actually been browsing CR.

Things are winding down here. And, provided issue B doesn't reassert itself, I should be back sometime this week. Again. I am sorry for doing this to you guys.

Valkyria Chronicles....

VALKYRIA CHRONICLES!

RRRAAARRRGGGG!H!H!HH!H!

Ok it's a fun game gameplay wise but some plot moments in it make me want to wreck the writers.

Good to hear that things are getting better. At least it wasn't as bad as last year.

I take it that things hasn't been going well for wooster so far. It's been two weeks now.

And now we know that wooster pays enough attention to the site to perform emergency maintenance. I just hope he keeps paying attention to the site from now on, I've been missing him.
