Hello all! This is my first time on the CR Forums though I have been visiting the site for ages (pre GS4 days).

With new and upcoming games in the series needing attention, I thought I would make some new buttons for them and see what you guys thought. I mailed my first drafts of them to the gmail account listed on the bottom of the homepage but not sure if that's still used...

Anyway, here they are, let me know what you think. Feedback is always welcome :sawit:

Updated 02/03 - Cleaned up edges a bit and added glass effect plus a few more buttons. Changed the background of 'Manga & Books' based on feedback :keiko:

I really like these! They make it a really uniform look and I like the symmetry of everything. Awesome job! Only think I could suggest is using a color other than white for the Manga section's background. It doesn't contrast as much as the others.

I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

I'm not very knowledgeable about graphic design, what is a screen tone background?

I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

That's a background that is screen toned.

Really, it is a shading style used for printed media where printers can't control the color intensity more than "blob of color/no blob of color". It is basically just adjusting the blob size and frequency to get different strengths of the color. It is prone to alias artifacts when scaled carelessly.

Something like this. You could keep Phoenix's outline the colour it is now, then add something like this screen tone in the background :)

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I changed the background of the manga one to a screentone style which was a good shout, definitely contrasts more. What do you think? Not as sharp as it could be maybe but it's pretty low res which doesn't help...

I also added a couple more buttons: one for the movie and one for Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. Not sure if they're needed but best to have and not need etc. Also did Ghost Trick and Hotel Dusk ones :godot:

I still want to make one for 'live shows' (like the musicals etc.) with the 'concert' Phoenix:

Those looks awesome! And yeah, now the manga one looks great. You should try and contact one of the CR webmasters to see if these can be used!

Pretty cool. You should upload your .psd files (assuming you're using Photoshop) though, in case some new games/localizations get announced and you aren't around here to make new edits anymore, or have lost your template.
