Post subject:  What happened to this site?
No updates since mid-November 2018. What happened? I know we've had Admins come and go in recent years but the state of the whole site now is literally making me cry.

Seriously what happened?

I mean yeah the forums have been kinda inactive (like pretty much most forums with stuff like reddit being more popular nowadays) but as for the update mentioned there isn't currently any new AA game announced (besides the trilogy ports) so it's understandable why there hasn't been much front page material lately, the site usually gets more active when there's a new game coming out.

But yeah, it's hard to pull crazy fan enthusiasm when there's nothing coming out. Nothing really wrong with this pace and we usually pick up after a release.

We're in one of the 'between games' times of the site, as the saying goes.

Although, with that said, there's been surprisingly little discussion about the AA anime S2. Well, I'm part of the problem as I haven't been watching it.

Come on, let's not use that as an excuse to not update the site. That's been talked about in recent years. Why wait until the next game is announced to update the site?

As an aside: The AA Anime S2 wrapped up its anime-exclusive case last month. The next episode resumes the canon cases beginning with one of Mia's cases.

I'm a bit disappointed myself seeing very little going on when I finally decided to get back to posting here, but I do think everyone else is right. Unless there's something new announced, like Ace Attorney 7 we probably won't be seeing much.

This confirms my theory that this fandom really is full of animals. By which I mean we essentially go into hibernation after a game until the next big update/reveal :yogi:

That reminds me a few months back over on Twitter, I recall running into some fans complaining about there not being a new game these past two years. To be honest, I don't really feel like 2016 was that long ago but I think at this point enough time has passed for it to make sense to hear about something new sometime this year.

Other than not much news on games, there's also the fact that ace attorney on reddit's more active right now, seems to be spreading on Devil May Cry's reddit too since I'm seeing the same level of shitposting.

Kinda sad, really since I don't really like the Ace Attorney subreddit, due to the um... people there. :/

Oh, don't put the blame on me. I blame the powers that be who (are supposed to) run this site.

I'll say it again: Promises of upgrades to the site were promised in the past. Wouldn't the time between news of the next game actually be the best time to actually do said upgrades or updates?

I'm not just blaming you, but people not posting here is the reason this site is dying.
Why put effort into a website that no one is coming to?
CR is about community (when there's no new games), not shiny shit on the main site.

We've definitely been slow to follow through on the aforementioned upgrades. I'm a bit surprised we haven't (to my knowledge) had anyone on the project posting in the Vent Station about how much trouble we've had getting the project done. The staff is definitely at least partially to blame for the state of the site. We're still working on it, but I feel it would be premature to put an expected completion date on the redesign at this point.

I mean, if people are actually working on the updates during this time even if we actually haven't seen any of the changes yet it's not really a big deal anyway, wouldn't expect a whole redesign to be completed that soon with a small team after all.
