There's an extremely low chance for a sprite competition to ever occur again, seeing most of the staffs have started leaving the site, and as well... you know... this site is getting a little deserted nowadays. Kinda like a Graveyard. Right now there's only one/two admins alive in this forum. Very soon, there won't be any. Plus, the Head Administrators are completely disappeared. Croik disappeared on 2013, while Wooster disappeared on March 2015. So, no. I don't think it's ever happening... But we could just wait for sometimes. Plus, who would post a competition in such late time?

Normally the OC contests bring in a lot of new members hoping for a prize, as well as older talents, so don't worry. I'm sure there'll be some gems in this comp!
That being said, the results for the 2014 comp aren't up yet under the OC comps on the main site are they? I kinda bombarded my entry with 30+ animations, so I don't expect you guys to host them all, but I kinda want to show off to my friends I got 3rd

I know the OC contest tends to bring me back, even though I don't visit CR as much anymore. It actually being later in the year works out better for me time wise too
