Regarding DLCs I guess there is not much else besides costumes, music tracks and bonus cases. There could be free of charge bonus cases that just consists of some funny stuff and some cameos and then "case centric" cases as you described them that will cost something.

If there are going to be DL cases, let them be actual cases and not turn into Ace Attorney sitcoms. The new characters don't have to be particularly memorable, but the experience in these cases should be, or at least decent. A little less focus on character development and a little more focus on game play and story action; and of course, throw in that classic AA humor to wrap it all up.

But then there will be the fans who've complained about Turnabout Circus that will complain about these simple DL cases. Bleh.

And yeah DD better be coming out September/October. I know November and December are technically fall but no one really thinks of them like that. And usually games released in that time are called "holiday". Like Zelda: A Link Between Worlds has a November release which was first announced as Holiday 2013.

A season doesn't consist of four months. Usually fall just means September, October and November, although by the astronomocial definition it's from 21st/22nd September to 20th/21st December.
A September release date would be great, an October release date is what I expect, and a November release date would be a little bit disappointing (but still much earlier than older titles).

Regarding DLCs I guess there is not much else besides costumes, music tracks and bonus cases. There could be free of charge bonus cases that just consists of some funny stuff and some cameos and then "case centric" cases as you described them that will cost something.

I was going by the astronomical definition.

But I would prefer it in September or October.

I wish it would come out late august or early september that way i can start my semester on a awesome note :sparkly-maggey:

Well, the broadcast certainly did help me

Spoiler:
imagine what Fulbright's theme sounds like. What is he saying in his testimony, anyway? I did see Mr. Tenma's name in there somewhere so I guess he's telling the court why he's been arrested. And has there been any new information such as the mayor's name and why Fulbright suspects Mr. Tenma (even though it's obvious although I still want to know)?

Also, I find it funny that we seem to know more about the third case than the second case if going by the official website's character name reveals and that there is no official art whatsoever for the Case 3 characters.

And I guessing I'm the only one who suspects Shuuichi Biyouin to be the culprit.

Spoiler: Here's Biyouin.

He's one of the Tenma family secretaries and carries a perfume bottle of his original brand.

Spoiler: My thoughts
There's just something off about this guy, aside from looking like the average politician. I don't know what it is (maybe it is his pink shirt?) but something about him gives off a vibe of suspicion.

Kind of convenient he was left in charge in place of his boss Deumon Tenma (I'm not sure if I got the first name right) after he got arrested.

Welp, I finally went back and viewed the broadcast again and this time, I have a script for those interested.

Spoiler: GS5-2
13:22

???: Hmm, who are you two!? You can't just walk in here!
Apollo: Ah! A cop?
???: ...Just what are you up to here at a crime scene...? It's mighty suspicious!
Okay! You're under arrest!
Apollo: Eeeeh!? A-arrest?
???: Give your excuses when we're at the precinct!
Now let's go! We've got a nice hot bowl of katsudon waiting for you there!
Apollo: W-w-wait! We're Mayor Tenma's lawyers!
???: What!? Is that right? Then ask away!
Hahaha. To think I almost arrested you.
Athena: To think we almost became suspects.
Apollo: By the way... who are you?
Fulbright: My name is Bobby Fulbright.
The Detective of Justice who protects this city!
Call me whenever you need me! I'll always be around to lend a hand!
The keyword is JUSTICE!

14:12

Judge: I've heard that you valiantly protect those in times of trouble.
Blackquill: ...Hmph. And he even messes with me.
Apollo: (Protect who from what...?)
Fulbright: However, I believe that a man can always recover from his falls. Simon too...
Blackquill: Pops, make your prayers after you're off the stand. What we need now... is testimony.
Fulbright: Hahaha! Very good! In that glint in your eyes... is true Justice!
You definitely can make a full recovery! You'll be back in society before you know it!
I, too, won't give in!

14:59

Apollo: I'm Apollo Justice. I work at the Wright Anything Agency.
Athena: "Anything Agency"? What kind of suspicious agency is that?
Apollo: ...It used to be a defense law firm.
Have you heard of Mr. Wright?
Athena: Ah! So you're...
Woohoo! I finally found you! I've been looking all over!
Apollo: (Hey, that's my line.)

15:06

Athena: Wow, what a high-class chair!
Apollo: It looks like the mayor sat here and took a nap.
Athena: Eh?
Apollo: And if he woke up, he'd have to deal with the culprit. That would've been a disaster.
Athena: Then, we should get investigating, since he doesn't remember committing the crime!
Monita: It's awful!
Athena: Ooh... There was restless bewilderment all over in his heart.
Apollo! We've got to save him!
Apollo: (...What an overemotional girl.)

17:09

Jinxie: Ah, it's almost time. I should get back to work.
Trucy: Jinxy, thanks for everything!
Jinxie: Uh, y-you're welcome. Ah, that's right...
There will be a surprise event today.
Neither I nor anyone in the village knows what's coming. So... please enjoy yourselves.
Apollo: (If there's a demon parade, she'd probably faint.)
Jinxie: ....... W-what's that? Eeeek!
Apollo: Wah!? A d-demon!
(Uh, wait. No... is someone in costume?)
Jinxie: T-T-Tenma Taro!
Apollo: Tenma... Taro? (Oh, that demon from the opening presentation...)
Jinxie: Eeeek! I'm sorryyy! Disperse disperse disperse!
Tenma Taro: Kishaaaaa! Little girl, I will steal your soul!
Jinxie: Eek! Ofuda, ofuda, ofuda... The ofuda that will send you back to the h-h-heavens!
Trucy: Ah. There's one stuck on your forehead!
Apollo: ...She gave up already.
(Huh? Everyone's covering up their faces... What's going on?)
Villager: Hey, you there! Cover up your face! You shouldn't look at Tenma Taro!
He'll steal your soul!
Apollo: Huh? (Steal my soul...?)
???: That's far enough, Tenma Taro!
Apollo: W-what now?
Trucy: Ah! Apollo, look! There's someone on the roof!
???: Wahahahahaha!
Villager: That loud laugh! Can it be...?
???: Ah. The nine tails that shine like gold... When children cry, the mark of justice appears~!
Ah. The one who charges forth onto the land where demons flock... Cutting down evil where it stands~!
The Wrestler of Justice! Hup!
Wrestler: The Golden Demon King, Great Kyuubi... is here!
Young lady, everyone, be at ease! I will defeat Tenma Taro!
Wahahahaha! Wahahahahahaha!
Villager: Wow, it's the Great Kyuubi!
Wrestler: So you've shown yourself again this year, Tenma Taro! I won't forgive your evil deeds!
Tenma Taro: Gukyaaaaaa!
Wrestler: Wahahahaha! Young lady, everyone!
I have driven Tenma Taro away! You can now rest easy tonight!
Jinxie: T-thank you very much!
Wrestler: And now... I have another match waiting for me, so I must take my leave!
Apollo: ...What the heck just happened? A wrestler drove away a demon?
He even showed up on the mansion roof...
Jinxie: He's so amazing... That was the best surprise ever!
That was the Great Kyuubi! The pro-wrestler of Kyuubi Village...
The Mysterious Masked Wrestler!
Apollo: (Jinxie sure is lively.)
So was that how he exterminates Tenma Taro...?
Jinxie: That was the Banishment of Evil Ritual.
Every year, a daring demon is released from imprisonment. I can still remember that terror...
In the end, the Nine-tailed Fox exterminates Tenma Taro, and cleans out the impurities.
This year was special, though. It was the Great Kyuubi that drove him away!
Apollo: (So, this was the surprise. And also...)
(The Great Kyuubi and Tenma Taro... don't seem to be very realistic.)
Jinxie: ...Ah, it's about time. I should get back to work.

21:06

Judge: Witness, please state your name and occupation.
Fulbright: My name is Bobby Fulbright. One of the local precinct's... detectives!
I'm currently in charge of supervising Simon.
Athena: Looks like Mr. Blackquill can't control Detective Fulbright that easily.
Apollo: He just doesn't seem to understand the mood.
Athena: I see... so that's why the detective was made Mr. Blackquill's supervisor.
Judge: Very well, Detective Fulbright, your first testimony please.
Fulbright: I'll show the lawyer there... just how justice always prevails!

Begin Testimony
~ The Case ~

Fulbright: The victim was stabbed with a spear. It was a decoration that adorned a wall at the scene.
And the defendant's, Dehmon Tenma's, fingerprints were found stuck on the murder weapon.
At the time of the murder, the village chief had taken sleeping pills and was fast asleep!
So, the defendant seized the chance and attacked! He thrust it in deep!
But, upon waking at the pain, the village chief grabbed a statue and struck back!

Apollo: The village chief had taken sleeping pills?

23:08

Begin Cross-Examination
~ The Case ~

Fulbright: The victim was stabbed with a spear. It was a decoration that adorned a wall at the scene.
<Hold it!>
The murder weapon was a decoration on the wall... it was the real thing, right?
Isn't it dangerous to use a real spear as decoration?
Fulbright: It didn't matter what it was; the village chief was picky about getting the real thing!
For example, a demon's bludgeon.
The village chief's ancestors once used it to exterminate demons, and he's kept it ever since.
Apollo: Eeh!? (That's... ridiculous!)
Fulbright: Hahaha! The village chief was a man who had justice running through his veins!
It's just so... terrible that he's passed away!
Blackquill: ...Hmph. The time to weep isn't in court, but at a funeral.
Pops, stop crying and explain the murder weapon.
Fulbright: Okay! Leave it to me!

And the defendant's, Dehmon Tenma's, fingerprints were found stuck on the murder weapon.
<Hold it!>
Apollo: But that's a bit strange. It seemed the fingerprints were wiped off.
Fulbright: Hmm, that is true...
Blackquill: The fingerprints weren't not wiped; they weren't wiped.
Apollo: What do you mean?
Blackquill: *tap-tap*
Athena: He's saying... you should use your head. Apollo, counter his gesture with your own!
Apollo: (I... don't get it. Please explain!)
Blackquill: ...
Athena: He didn't see it.
Fulbright: Mr. Lawyer, what are you doing? You're rather passionate about it too.
Apollo: (Ugh... that was pointless.)
Judge: Well, given that the information is accurate, the testimony is simple to understand.

27:26

Phoenix: Your Honor! Mr. Payne is too quick to call for a verdict!
This trial still has too many things yet to be established.
How did the defendant's fingerprints get onto this tail?
Without clearing these issues up, it's impossible to declare a verdict!

27:43

<Objection!>
Phoenix: There's something strange in the witness' testimony!
And the basis for this claim is this evidence!
Judge: .......... I don't think so.
What is strange is in the defense's objection!
Phoenix: (Did I mess up...?)

28:02

Apollo: Athena, I heard you're still a rookie. Did you just become a lawyer?
Athena: That's right! Take a look at this! It's still sparkling!
Apollo: Then, I guess that makes you a year younger than me.
Athena: Oh-ho. It's not quite like that!
I'm only 18 this year!
Apollo: E-eighteen!?
So are you qualified to be a lawyer?
Athena: I flew in from America.
I've already passed the bar exam over there.
Apollo: W-wow. (Is she some sort of genius...?)

28:29

Apollo: Athena!
Don't be tricked by Blackquill's psychological manipulation!
Athena: Um, Apollo?
Judge: ...... Mr. Justice, do you have a rebuttal to make?
Apollo: Eh?
(Oops... I didn't mean to say that so forcefully.)
(I didn't think of anything, but I still raised an objection.)
Judge: Well? What is it?
If you continue like this, I will find the defendant guilty...
Can you or can you not overturn the prosecution's claim?
Apollo: Ah, um... uh... o-of course!
I'm fine!
Athena: Apollo! So what's your plan?
Apollo: ...I don't have anything yet, but it's fine!
Athena: Eeh?
Apollo: (A-anyway, there's gotta be something, somewhere, somehow!)

Spoiler:
So Dehmon Tenma (I'm going to assume the first name's right although I can't really get how you got "Dehmon" from 出右衛門. 出 - de, 右- u, 衛 -e, 門 - mon is how I read it so I guess how I read each character is wrong then.) was arrested because his fingerprints were on the weapon, which happens to be a spear hanging as a decoration? Interesting...

And the mayor was drugged with sleeping pills in his drink? And killed with a spear? Could be premeditated if Dehmon knew of the mayor's history about his ancestors and the spear beforehand but I doubt he planned to be hit by a statue so...

I'm going to assume that at first glance, it looks like the mayor was stabbed while asleep and suddenly fought back and fought against Dehmon with a statue. He struck him but died lying on the table soon and Dehmon sat down to recover from his injury.

Since in the website, Dehmon's head isn't covered by those charms Jinxie places, I'm going to assume that Jinxie gave him a bunch of charms to hide his head wound. He definitely was attacked, by the looks of things.

Spoiler:
出右衛門 can also be read de {silent} e mon, and given the theme naming of characters, I assume Deemon is meant to sound like the word "demon". I spelled it with an h so people wouldn't mistake it as Demon.

This also marks the second time in the series that someone was struck with a statue on the head and didn't die from it.

Based on what I can gather, the contradiction in the first testimony is regarding how the village chief could fight back when he was drugged. Whether you press that statement or present evidence, though, I don't know for sure.

Obviously you need something more stable, like an empty bottle, to kill someone. :minuki:

I thought this new theme was Simon's since it began playing when he showed up in the latest Japanese trailer.
