新妻：フェニックス・ライト（成歩堂の洋名）の要望は海外だと多いですね。技とかも考えてはいたんですよ。さらに、その時担当だった松川（※3）と巧（※4）に聞きにいってとりあえずのOKまでもらいました。でもそこから先にいった時にどうする？　って。腕を動かすジェスチャーはあるけど、原作では腰から下は動いていないし、ジャンプもしない（笑）。

※3……松川美苗プロデューサー。DS『逆転裁判 蘇る逆転』やDS『逆転裁判4』を手掛けた。現在は、PSP用RPG『ラストランカー』を鋭意制作中。

※4……巧舟ディレクター。PS『バイオハザード2』や『ディノクライシス』を経て、GBA『逆転裁判』を担当。以後『逆転裁判4』までディレクションし、シリーズの人気を不動のものとする。最新作である『ゴーストトリック』にも期待が高まる。

井川：机にタイヤがついていて、一体化して動くというネタもありましたね（笑）。

新妻：ただ、そこまでやるとキリがなくなるし、当たり判定の問題とかもあってなくなりました。

――もし『タツノコ VS. CAPCOM 2』が出るとすれば、成歩堂龍一とイングリッドも参戦する可能性はあるのでしょうか？

新妻：あればやりたいですよね。

Niitsuma:
Overseas fans expected the appearance of Phoenix Wright. We thought about his attacks. And we talked with Takumi and Matsukawa, they approved his appearance. But we were in trouble. Phoenix moves his arm in the game. But he doesn't move his lower half of the body, and doesn't jump. (laugh)

Ikawa:
Other ideas -- the tire is attached to the desk, and the desk moves with him together. (laugh)
