Jury is still out on if the animations were fixed. The cases are handled differently from the game itself, so I'm still playing the 2.0.0 cases. When I can delete and redownload the cases i'll have something more solid to report. But the fact that they're issuing updates is a great sign!
And for the record, I received no HUD saying anything that could be mistaken for suggesting I redownload the cases.
