Now that I think about it, if future DLC cases are released right after the official soundtrack was released, what would happen if the DLC cases contain unique tracks that aren't in the OST?

Oh, and they showed the release date and the price for Turnabout Return at last!! It's released on August 15 and costs 800 yen, including tax. I think it also said it's being released at half price from 8/15 - 9/12.

Turnabout Return is 800 yen, or about $8.27, and will be released on August 15 (!). I suspect it'll be around $5-6 USD, given how games are generally more expensive in Japan.

EDIT: apparently it will be 400 yen for a month (August 15-September 12)

EDIT2: edit war!

Good to know there's a price and release date now. The half price certainly does urge more people to buy the case earlier than expected.

Perhaps a new thread should be created about the latest information regarding Turnabout Return in case people don't really look through this one?

... Maybe they'll release another CD later for all the DLC-only tracks? :yuusaku:

I highly doubt that new music will be composed for the DLC. They'll probably just reuse tracks.

Well, you never know, can you? Looks like I will simply wait for the case to be released and watch footage to see if there is new music in it.

Each case usually has at least one unique track.

I doubt they'll ONLY reuse tracks, they might reuse a bit. But look at Rise from the Ashes, its a case added for the DS release, and it has...6 new tracks, essentially, it was DLC before DLC came out.

Capcom released a soundtrack containing the entire DS soundtrack including Rise from the Ashes, but practically the entire game's music was upgraded. I don't think that they'd release an album only containing a few tracks. Either way, the tracklisting for GS5's soundtrack hasn't been revealed yet. If there is new music, it's probably already composed and included.

Well, I didn't know the music was upgraded. :udgy:
Anyway, the only chance that Capcom would put the DLC tracks up separately, is if they put them on iTunes, which will never happen.
*I'll bet Capcom's reading this, and will do it just to prove me wrong.* :lana:

The original DS' soundchip is way more high quality compared to the GBA's tinny speakers. It would makes sense that they would upgrade it because the original sound would be too poor. Later, they upgraded it AGAIN for the WiiWare releases. Last year they came out with the Gyakuten Saiban Sound Box which had the enhanced sound from the first three games.

It'd be nice if Capcom put they're soundtracks on iTunes, and not just in Japan. Square Enix has been doing it for quite some time now.

Yeah, I guess you're right.
iTunes, that'd be great, especially for Gyakuten Kenji 2. (I've been foaming at the mouth searching for the soundtrack, but I can't seem to find a link...I have all the others, I'm not sure if *File sharing* is allowed on the forum or not...) -_- I've been listening to the http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3EDBB8487C9EB794 soundtrack on youtube. (Apparently, Bolt is actually a member of the wiki as well :lana: )

Did they? The music sounded the same to me. If anything changed, maybe the instruments were a bit clearer, but that isn't as drastic an upgrade as GBA to DS was (I'm pretty sure the arrangement and number of instruments changed a bit, along with the clearer instruments).

Yeah, the GBA to DS hardware change is a major upgrade on the audio side. From a few primitive sound generators and like two digital channels to 16 digital channels (out of 8 can be switched to generator mode).

Hm, I'll have to look up the soundtrack for the GBA version on youtube. :godot:
