There will be 2 runs of the show as usual, one at Takarazuka Bow hall as usual but the Tokyo run will be moved to Akasaka ACT Theatre.
Please check the original English news on Press Release.The Japanese offical website also announced the news on their Gyakuten Saiban Panel.
The female lead role of the show is a Rachel Aria to be played by Junya Chitose. As Edgeworth is suppposed to be a lead role as well and since there is no announcement on this character's actress, there is a chance that Edgeworth would not be included in this play or the role would be significantly downsized. Apparantly, Larry Butz might not be included in the show this round as well.

Actually, I can't believe they are going for another one... and we haven't even heard anything about a possible DVD-release of the 1st one xD
And isn't there one performance left ?
I really wonder whether they thought it would ever receive such praise from fans ? And will this make them understand they have to have one or two performances overseas ?
I'm so glad they're going for another one... let's just hope they will keep the same actresses for the main characters ^^
Oh, and if they could release the DVD -and a CD of the songs- for the 1st one before the end of the year, it would be fantastic !
Why... maybe Capcom will insist on having both DVD and CD released everywhere, since it seems to be this popular !... Thank you so much Capcom & Takarazuka !

Fem!Matt would be a site to see. An excellent actress would have be hired to pull that off. From what I've seen of this musical, all the performers are excellent actresses, so it's really about finding the one that can pull of Matt's dissisociative tendencies.

The most effective way to pull off Matt would be to raise or lower the voice slightly (or dramatically, depending on how far we're getting away from "refreshing" to "pure evil" and the opposite). This combined with different speech patterns (ever notice how Matt tends to switch to more eloquent speech when he stops his acting?) and an actress who can switch between a more recessive to a more powerful personality would make for a brilliant performance.
...Of course, we don't even know if we're GETTING a Fem!Matt, let alone a case 2-4.

They seems to have done a pretty good job with the first musical, so I'm sure the 2nd one will be as good as the first one.
And if they pick up 2-4, that would mean... more Female Edgeworth !

Ticket sales starts on 18/7/09
Tokyo Akasaka ACT Theater Run : 5/9/09 - 15/9/09
Ticket sales starts on 2/8/09
The first musical had its tickets sold out on the first day, so if you're planning to get the tickets.........
It is now easier to purchase tickets out of Japan for the Bow Hall Run as Takarazuka is now selling the tickets on their website, which you will have to pay first and collect the tickets from the Ticket booth later. If you are in Japan, the tickets can be mailed to you directly

The DVD costs 8,400 yen which is roughly 85.43USD and 67.88EUR.
It was filmed one Feb 12 and is 140 minutes long
Extras include rehearsal footage, Ranju Tomu's video message (I presume the one screened at the concert), and I think the screen videos used in the play (the opening sequence and the childhood animation).
Foreigner fans of Takarazuka have been using Shopping services as well as friends in Japan. The service we use diligently and has proved to the best is Crescent-Shop.com. They are very friendly, honest and the fees are reasonable. All you need is a paypal account. In Japan the DVDs are available wherever Takarazuka DVDs are sold, most notably in their own shop Quatre Reves and Taka-An.
As for the dvd cover, thats only a stand in. A cover image will go up later.

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES WIIIIIIIN. So much win. WANT SO BADLY. zOMG, this makes me ridiculously happy beyond all reason yes. And the same actress as Phoenix? Perfect. I couldn't actually understand a word she was saying (xD) but her mannerisms and the way she held herself and her tone of voice were all dead on with what I pictured Nick acting like. She's awesome.
On a side note, if the musical is doing this well, there's a chance that we might get an anime or a movie made, right? Not by Takarazura, obviously, but Capcom might consider starting a project... Just a thought. :]

Hmm...Heh, yeah sometimes its easy to forget that I consider to be cheap is still expensive to others. I've been a Takarazuka fan for a long time so I guess I've become pretty immune to the price tag. A regular Grand Theater show dvd costs 10,500 yen, 106.60USD.
But, its no regular DVD. The DVDS are extremely high quality despite lacking subtitles.

You can put a credit card on Paypal. All foreign orders are subject to customs charges. Beggars can't be choosers. Either the DVD is availble with stipulations, or it isn't available at all.

Those who were able to go and see any of their performance sure are lucky people ! (especially those who had Phoenix singing just in front of them
I really wish I was there, even if it only was for 10mn xD )It's interesting to see how the court phases look... and they look quite nice ^^
Now, I REALLY want the DVD of this musical, no matter what xD

I agree with everyone, it's really a pity they will have to pick up a new actress to play Edgeworth... but I'm not worried or anything. We're talking about Takarazuka, I'm sure her replacement will be even more hotter !
