Nintendo Week, a weekly program hosted on the Wii's Nintendo Channel, featured an interview with AAI producer Motohide Eshiro. It can be seen here beginning just after the one-minute mark. He talks about his work in the series, how the game was concieved and some of the new gameplay elements.

The Nintendo Channel also includes a translated trailer for the game. You can check it out here.

LOUDER THAN THE VOLCANOES OF HELL! *cough*

There should be at least two more. I mean come on, there's only been one Apollo game, and that was mainly about Phoenix! Apollo should have at least one game with him in the spotlight.

I'm not quite sure what's going on; it wasn't that long ago that there was talk of GS5, with Eshiro (spelling) offering to help with GS5, and now all of a sudden, no one at Capcom seems to want to say anything about it.

Or is this just a ploy to encourage people to buy AAI?

If they weren't developing anything, they would probably say "there are no plans", like they said about an Ace Attorney anime. "Can't talk about it" means that either he doesn't know for certain what's going on, or he does know, but he can't say anything.

Recall the announcement of Gyakuten Kenji. It was an absolute surprise, with a small teaser name like "NEW Gyakuten NOT Saiban", but who expected an Edgeworth game with new gameplay? Until Famitsu published it, nobody, and it did the trick. Famitsu probably sold tons thanks to that. Why wouldn't they buy the rights to the Gyakuten Saiban 5 announcement?

I believe that GS5 is in development, but they're waiting for the right time to announce it. I predict April-May (no pun intended), with a release in early 2011. And an exclusive demo at TGS.

BTW, I'm loving the translated Orchestral trailer. First time they keep voice acting, even though it's subtitled. But all names, text and footage of the game is localized. Great launch trailer.

Also, Shi-Long's "Not So Fast!" sound clip suits him, but isn't as awesome as Rou's "Amaina!". The voice is not as deep. Rou's voice was perfect in the Japanese game, IMO. Shi-Long's... not so much, but still good.

Spoiler:
I LOVE YOU EDGEWORTH!!!!!

Was that loud enough? XD

I'm hoping for another Apollo Justice game though, I think that game's just waiting on a sequel. I think they should focus on that before making any more Edgeworth ones. Not that I'm going to complain if more Edgeworth ones are released. =P

in this weeks Nintendo Week Video, he was asked if we can see any future Ace Attorney Games, and he says that he can not say at this time, but if OUR PLAYERS VOICES GROW LOUDER and show Support for Edgeworth, They will reach their dev team to bring new ideas to life.

That's just standard PR speak. Nothing to really get excited about yet. Well, nothing worth shouting over, anyway.

And while I like the trailer, it would've been nice if it was at least dubbed over, though I guess that would've given the wrong impresssion of the game.

Nintendo Week is the weekly "news segment" Nintendo puts up every week on the Wii's Nintendo Channel. Here's a link to a YouTube'd version. The interview is in the second part.

Hey Blademaster, I'm currently rushing getting 'something' done at the last minute. Would you mind editing the first post, make it presentable, and move to Trial Minutes. A screenshot from the video would be nice if possible.

There, hopefully that is acceptable. I'm not very good at taking and editing good screenshots so unfortunately I can't do much in that department.

That "Not so fast!" sounds cool, but I think they could've used a different line because it sounds more like another "Hold it!" than trying to say "How naive!" but I can understand the context.

Oh snap, the forums layout changed!

Well, I really love that trailer... and that music too. And the actors dubbing the characters.
Seriously, even though I had already seen that trailer before, I really enjoyed watching it one more time.

That trailer is awesome, love the music and the use of Japanese voices.
I hope they focus on another AJ/GS game though, I really want that as its begging for a sequel, IMO.
