Update 7.7: Ghost Trick (and SS2) lost to God of War: Ghost of Sparta.

Each year, after the E3, the Game Critics Awards give some... awards for the best games, consoles and moments of the past E3. And guess what? Shu Takumi's new game, Ghost Trick, has indeed been nominated for the Best Handheld Game (the only category, unfortunately), along with the following games:

Quote:
- Ghost Trick (Capcom for Nintendo DS)
- God of War: Ghost of Sparta (Ready at Dawn/Sony Santa Monica for PSP) *the winner*
- Okamiden (Capcom for Nintendo DS)
- SuperScribblenauts (5TH Cell/WBIE for Nintendo DS)
- Valkyria Chronicles 2 (Sega for PSP)

Needless to say, GT has got some serious opponents! The results will be revealed on July, the 6th... that is, next Tuesday!

Hmm, pretty sure it'll lose to Okamiden or Valkyria Chronicles 2, but seeing it in that list makes me want it even more!

Still, go GT!

Even if it looses to Okamiden, I think that's still okay xD

But yay that it was nominated! :3

Yeah, Okamiden's probably going to get it. I would be happy for 5th Celll if SuperScribblenauts gets it, though, they deserve it.

Honestly, with the changes they said they'd made, particularly about face button controls, I really hope it's a good game.

Go Super Scribblenauts!

I hope the added 20,000 adjectives are worth it.

And neither of them won. It's actually that new God of War who won in the handheld category. However, and not a really surprising piece of news, the 3DS really was the queen of this 2010 edition of E3, as it won both the Best Hardware (against Kinect and the PlayStation Move thingy), and the Best of Show categories.

Well of course the over-hyped gory mature game with flashy graphics wins. What era of gaming do you think we live in right now? :V

Yeah... How silly of me to root for the game with an interesting concept, an intriguing story, and original gameplay mechanics over the mainstream gorefest (that butchers classical mythology ;-;)

^ This

But honestly, the one game I wished wouldn't win wins. grrr

Heck, Okamiden would of been better. Oh well, I guess the real victory is if GT sells right, amiright?

Personally, I'll buy Ghost Trick.
It's a new concept.
But it didn't win E3 2010.
Big deal.
Get over it people.

(Late response heck yeah!) Well, darn. Hey, at least we know it's a good game like we didn't already know that :grossburg: , and that's something to be proud of. Also loving the other titles on there, namely Okamiden and SuperScribblenauts. I can't help but be positive for all three of these most likely amazing titles.
