Today, French manga editor Kurokawa announced that they'll release the manga version of Phoenix Wright on July 2010. They made the official announcement on their blog

I don't know much about the PW:AA manga, but it's totally unexpected to see this in France. Kurokawa already published one of the 2 manga adaptations of Rockman.EXE (Megaman Battle Network) and it was quite a failure (They took the bad one) What do you think about it?

Oh my god. I'd buy them and spend the time to translate them because I love the games and characters so much. On the other hand you could just look at the pictures, either way I'm getting one :V

Same here. I'm quite surprised to see this released in France. Oh, I wish they would do the same for AAI's manga too!
I've never read that manga, dunno if it's good or just plain terrible, but hey, that will get me a chance to support the Franchise in France.

Even though I liked the Fan Manga published by DelRey I was sooo much hoping these will be localized as well. Being half a French, I am more than fine with the language. (Hmmm... while I am thinking about this, I am curious if they will name Edgey Benjamin Hunter in the manga as well... )

And they are released before I am visiting my family in France this year - will get them! \o/

I too hope Del Rey picks this up for an English release, because it will be difficult at best for me to get the French-language version (would have to ask someone in Canada to look for me, and even then it's a long shot that any particular bookstore would import French-language manga). I also have to think of my friends, who will inevitably want to borrow my books once I've read them, and I'm certain not all of them can read French. So I shall wait and hope for some good news from Del Rey.

(Because it's worked out so friggin' well so far with Sailor Moon... :sadshoe:

we'll probably see the other PW manga on the 10th of Never.)

I also want to add that, being familiar with Kurokawa and most other French manga editors, I personally believe that Kurokawa is the best editor here in France, they are in charge of series like Fullmetal Alchemist, Yotsuba&!, Soul Eater, Brave Story, Hajime no Ippo or 666 Satan and they do an excellent job, their adaptation is great (the sound effects are entirely translated) the translations are overall really good, and they have an excellent quality paper and ink. About the Rockman.EXE failure, I will blame this on their debuts and the general suckiness of the Battle Story Rockman.EXE manga.

So I trust that editor to make a good job on this manga. I plan on getting these, I'll post pictures of them as soon as I get them.

I guess having the French version of Phoenix Wright manga is my only way to have it: I doubt that editors here in Italy would be interested in... except, maybe, Jpop, but their series are expensive D: :spload:

damn it! I'd really prefer living in France. And then, I can speak a little French and understand it quite perfectly, so for me it's not a problem...

So a Manga in France but no game...

It seems pretty obvious to me that there are two pieces of information, one in each, that when taken contextually together will change EVERYTHING we know about AA. And no one will even realize it. It's all part of their master plan to help France take over the United States...

I'm gone for so long, and the colors got all psychedelic! Woohoo!

When they started to sell the manga, I wanted to bought it, but it was in backordered -_-"
I think if the sales are good enough, the manga could comes out in English soon, if an editor wants to try.

I can tell you that the traduction is as good as the games :keiko:

. I really enjoy the french names (for example: "Hikarou Shinjou" became "Patrick Arcal", it come from the word Patriarcal/patriarchal).
