They aren't even trying to hide characters after their big leak.

It looks like they're listed in reveal order too, with the new characters being moved to the top once they're shown. Also that picture has them in release order from background to foreground. That means Phoenix and Rocket Raccoon will be the last to have trailers. Sad, but I can't say I didn't see it coming.

Looks like if two more are shown off at PAX it will be Frank West and Nova. I'm okay with that. Frank's the other name I was looking forward to seeing. He's covered wars, you know.

Angry Joe does have valid points against buying the game and I respect your position on not getting the game. The people who are complaining the most are the one's who play fighting games casually, just like SSIV did in the past, UMVC adds new elements to the game in the form of characters, stages and the all coveted Spectator Mode. They've also gone about balancing issues in the past game.

In the end, Capcom is just doing what they do best, making money off fanboy purchases. I'll be helping them with my day one purchase of UMvC3

Yeah besides this is like the only chance we'll get to support Ace Attorney for a while. Though is Spectator Mode just watching fights? I'll be mostly happy if they give me a single player that isn't Story Mode or Practice.

Spectator Mode is watching fights online. In MvC3 when you play online in a lobby of more than 2 people, you're forced to just sit there watching two license cards bump against each other while.

If you just want more single player modes in UMvC there's Mission Mode which gives you a basic combo to do and if you pull it off you move onto a more complicated one.

Not good enough
I want free mode. It's very simple, you pick a team and pick another team and fight against the computer....without the constraints of story mode. Because sometimes I just want to go Random for everything and play a MATCH. Or maybe I wonder what X would say to Z if they fought but I have no option to pick my opponents.

Sorry, but the only way to fight against the computer without going to Arcade mode is to into Practice and set it so the computer takes controller of the opposite team. You have control on who you face and the difficulty of the AI but you miss out on the intros of the characters. MvC is very barebones when it comes to single player stuff so we'll just have to see what they give you in UMvC.

More importantly...you can't win in Practice mode...regenerating health does that I think I tried that before and there wasn't a way to fix it so I could beat it.

Here's hopinh UMVC includes this most basic of fighting game modes.

Actually you can, you just go to the CPU and Player settings tab in the start menu of Practice mode and turn regenerating health off. Same goes for turning off unlimited hyper meter and X-Factor, hope that helps.

Yeah it kind of seems like a huge rip to fans who bought the previous game. I didn't buy the 1st one because of this reason. I mean really how did no one see this coming? Although I expected it to come out much much much later then just a few months of the original release. The only time I've gotten to play it is with my friends copy but I love it. I was going to grab it myself but then they announced this. Definitively grabbing this.

I honestly doubt it will. Why? Because MVC3 is mainly intended as an online competitive game (notice how vanilla MVC3's 2-player and Story modes are called "OFFLINE MODE"). The focus of the game (past the hidden characters unlocked by finishing Story Mode), based on Capcom's behavior, seems to be mainly online competition, so I doubt they'll include a mode that, to a certain extent, is actually rather redundant compared to vanilla Story Mode.

But it's....it's so basic....I miss it so much. I don't want to buy a hobby sure I can appreciate a good competition but when I've had a tiring day just wanna kick back with Random teams and play for chills not go online where I'll face a dozen Ryu's Captain America and Hulk teams.

Is anyone else insanely excited for this?
