Maybe I'm misinterpreting this Court Record system of his. Either way, we'll have more information on him as the time passes. It seems to me upon closer inspection that the evidence does not focus on one individual character. In the Phoenix Wright vs Nova gameplay video, he activated his Turnabout stance on Nova and KO'd him, then proceeded to use his level 3 on Taskmaster. In any case, I'd like to find out more about it and how it works. |

His level 3 does 600k unmodded damage. Victor Von Doom, you are guilty. I cannot express in the English language how excited I am. Maya assists, paperwork back handing, and victory confetti. My only complaint is that his "Take this!" doesn't sound forceful enough, nor is it "Take that!" as it should be. |

One of his stills has him normally with his glasses on, another shows him with one of his lens broken, and the last shows him with no glasses. I don't know why or how they change. Anyway, the evidence feature is much more awesome than I thought! All the evidence are objects that the other character's have. You need the right ones to be able to do his lvl 3 super on them. If you find meat, you can heal Phoenix. Well he removes his glasses if you use his *dash-all-over-the-screen* move. I presume they break if he gets beaten a bit and you can reapply the glasses with his taunt. |

But now in Ultimate Marvel, the fucker gets a speed and damage boost the more broken his sunglasses become. Also, he doesn't take them off anymore during his Maximum Wesker hyper. If they're off his face, all of his hypers put his sunglasses back on. Still a broken ass character but I love using him

Pfft, some job they did. I heard the one thing they nerfed was his health. Which isn't even that bad. There were rumors that his teleports were slow (people played him and said they're fine) it's impossible to combo off his air grabs which were an extremely dangerous reset game he had goin on (nope, I've seen videos where it's possible to pick them up after an air throw). Wesker is just overpowered because even his simple bread and butter combos could a character in one or two reps. His damage output is high, his normals are safe on block and his gun allows him to zone quite beastly. At least he didn't get Phoenix (Jean) nerfed. |

He's definitely a point character so I'm curious to see how I'll make a team for him. Maybe Phoenix/Shuma/Dormy for "GTFO" assists. Now that I actually have a fight stick I need to get a lot better at this game, might actually play ranked achievements. (Well those damned achievements force me to) I'm a 5th Lord in MvC3 and I ain't afraid to get my hands dirty. Once Ultimate comes out, it's showtime! Also to show my appreciation for his arrival, I did this: http://destinydecade.deviantart.com/#/d4cpljs Though I wished my suit was blue instead of black though the black suit suits me best. I wonder what sort of alternate colors he'll have. |

I didn't have the patience to find people to play in ranked. I got to 9th lord and then I got demoted because I got bodied by Dark Phoenix. So I gave up trying to rank up, I manly just play player matches. But I guess I'll have to get back into so I can get my 5 win streak again and then become a 6th lord for that achievement. |

Quick tutorial for those who want to beat me in the future to finding treats like the music I just posted: Now, for this, you're going to need Safari. Safari is the only browser I'm aware of that allows you to view the resources used in flash. I don't believe IE, FireFox, or even Chome (Oddly enough) have this. Granted, Safari won't help you if the files are embedded in the SWF, but if they're linked inside... Window -> Activity ![]() It's a simple a matter as copy and paste. |

Hey, for those who have read the previous post that I did in this topic(the one with the "I won't buy game because megaman wasn't in it" thing), I just want to apologize for the dumb words and/or sentences that are said or posted in the previous post I did, instead of just keeping it inside my mind, or even think about it a second. And I would also apologize for putting it out like a (if not idiotic)pity-needed broad. Just really wanted to let that out and hope that, that last post I did(the one with the "I won't buy game cause blah blah blah megaman blah blah blah" thing) would never happen in future forums like this again. -.-" Once again, sorry. Spoiler: But getting into topic, if only Edgeworth would be in the game as well... But I'd bet anyone else already said that. |

Man, I just loved the way how Phoenix works on the game. If you pay attention to the videos, you'll notice that he starts the battle at "Investigation Mode". His move set involves basically searching for evidence and trowing some at the enemy. Then he goes into "courtroom mode" after collecting 3 decisive evidences. On it he starts to attack the enemy with the evidence he collected, like trowing papers and stuff. If he uses the "OBJECTION OVERRULED!" special, he goes back to "investigation mode" and need to get more evidence. On the other hand, if he uses the "Objection!" move, he goes to "pursuit mode", where his attacks are even more powerful and awesome music plays. Then, if he uses his Level 3 ultra combo, he presents the 3 decisive evidences collected at "investigation mode" and deals high damage the to the enemy/witness. It's just awesome! It works exactly like in the AA games. After noticing this, and the amount of references to the original series, like the sneezing attack, I just can't call him a joke character. When Capcom wants, it makes a ridiculously awesome job. The only thing left now if Layton on Super Smash Bros, lol. |

There are also 15 different types of evidence in the game, each with their own different properties of projectiles (the blue lasers). His level 3 does 600,000 UNSCALED damage... that's pretty nice, it's hitbox is that of Gravity Squeeze and it's the longest level 3 cinematic ever. What's wrong with being a joke character? Cause that's exactly what he is. Joke characters bring refreshing gameplay elements and they also provide comedy relief which is exactly what Phoenix does. |

Lmfao! This is epic! I love the attention to details (Maya, the confetti, Missile, UDGEY(!), a sneeze attack!) The music is AMAZING.Only Phoenix can beat the crap out of you and then get you locked up His victory pose is adorable :)His voice is alright, but the "TAKE THIS!" was lacking. Apollo needs to lend Nick his chords of steel. "I will submit the evidence!" |

It's pretty much the same hitbox as Gravity Squeeze, it hits the entire screen so it's not a physical attack like most level 3's. I'm pretty sure it can be blocked. It'd be a extremely over powered if it was like X-23's and Shuma's which are unblockable. Not that it's hard to combo with Phoenix in turnabout mode... @MrKhubbo- to solve that problem, you can just map the controller's triggers to act as the Y button (default medium attack) that way you can press the S button as well as medium. So no worries. The only thing that pad has difficulty with (IMO) is pulling off shoryukens... goddamn those shoryukens. |

I'm starting to realise more and more that Phoenix suits my playstyle. I can start a match strong but more often than not I'll tend to win a match with a silly comeback with Viewtiful Joe or Dante. Phoenix Wright looks to be (understandably) one of the most "turnabout" characters in the game. Perhaps even more so than Dark Phoenix (Only more skill is involved along with the luck of finding the right evidence). I'm excited to see how he'll fair in my team when he replaces Deadpool. However, there's a bit of bad news for PW fans that want to pick up UMvC3 as their first beat em up to play as Nick. He is definitely going to be a strong character, but the way he plays is very unique. Seth already elaborated how he's not a newbie-friendly character and I'm sure you can see for yourself from all the EVIDENCE provided on his commands and moves so far. By all means though, I'm hoping he makes a great introduction for a lot of newcomers to the beat'em'up genre. So long you put in the effort to learn some combos you'll definitely get really good. fast. I just can't wait to use him :C it makes me rant. And I'm really glad Maya's getting in on the action.
