Alright, thanks to the good folks here at CR, we now know what the Android App is.

Basically, the main feature of the app is the Objection Generator, called "Objections for Everyone!", which is also included in iOS's GS123 HD. It also comes with a demo for GS1-1, with promises to update for all cases at a later date. (Maybe Capcom hasn't figured out/implemented a revenue system for Android, and that's what's holding it up?)

That's awesome! Maybe I can play it on my android phone in the near future! Although my phone is the xperia play (playstation phone) so that'll be a little weird.....

I somehow managed to get around the region locking on the app store to download this, and wow does GS1HD look like crap on my Droid Bionic.All of the sprites are covered in jaggies, as if they're being poorly resized to a higher resolution. I have no idea if it's the demo, my phone, or the Android port itself, but it looks nowhere near as good as the screenshots I've seen of the iPhone version. Hopefully it'll be fine in the final version. Also, is the framerate that low in the iPhone version? The animations look significantly less smooth than the DS version. It reminds me of a bad flash game, as do the improperly resized sprites.

When panning, like moving from Cindy Stone to Frank in the intro, there's a horrible frame rate that did not exist in the DS. Menus also are poorly implamented and designed. But character animations themselves are fine.

Even the character animations were super choppy in the Android demo. I really hope it's not indicitive of the final game, because I wouldn't be able to stand it. Does the iOS version also ditch the sound it makes as the text appears when people are talking? The Android demo does, and it's super weird when you're familiar with the DS versions. Again though, I don't know if it's the demo's fault or just my Droid Bionic, but I'd think such a recent phone wouldn't have these kinds of issues.

Unfortunately, there's no blip-blip-blip while talking, at all. And it's also quite inconsistent about including the typewriter noises when trial begins. The lack of blip-bliping is one of my least favorite modifications.

Hi All,

I just wanted to let you know that there is an easy way to legally download the GS app from the japanese marketplace using the chrome browser, using the APK Downloader plugin.

Check out: http://codekiem.com/2012/02/24/apk-downloader/

Follow the instructions, and use the marketplace link to the GS app, and the little plugin should flash up allowing you to download the APK. I tried this and it works fine, the game looks quite good on android, but now I can see some of the dithering that was used, its not that bad though.
