The first group of HD Sprites have been added to the sprite archive. You can find them in the normal sprite pages, following the "HD Gifs" links. I'm just working down the line of folders as I go so characters are being added in roughly alphabetical order. The ones up so far are:

Acro
Adrian Andrews
Angel Starr
April
Jean Armstrong
Luke Atmey
The Bellboy
Ben and Trilo
Bikini
Cody Hackins
Dahlia Hawthorne
Shelly de Killer
Desiree DeLite
Deigo Armando
Miles Edgeworth (+ "Bratsworth")
Elise Deauxnim

Remember, there's still a lot wrong with these sprites (Acro looks especially funny without his birds) but we're focusing on getting them up before working out the kinks.

Enjoy and keep an eye out for the rest!

EDIT: Because the HD Sprites are so huge, rather than offer the single frames in sheet form they've been zipped into their own folder by character. Links are up in the sprite section now!

Nice job.

Although I already downloaded all the sprites... :sawit:

Couldn't find the HD link on the sprite pages, so I just turned the list of completed characters into links, plus added a few 'A' characters that were missed.

I have a question. Is the Diego sprite messed up or does it look like that in game?

You talking about the splotch under his elbow? That's the shadow he casts on the desk.

The links should be listed under individual characters. Are they not showing up? They work for me :gregory:

They are now (and have been for a few hours how), but they weren't when I originally checked.

Alright, I just finished generating all the thumbnails. I suppose my next project is figuring out how/if we want HD sprite sheets.

Quick poll: Would you guys rather an HD sheet, or zips with the individual frames?

Man these are so gorgeous I can't even bring myself to care about the flaws. Especially the PW1 characters; any sprite set that actually manages to make April look halfway attractive is tops in my book. :butzthumbs:

Hmm...I think it would be easier for most people to have individual frames in a zip because sprite sheets aren't too specific (also they would be very very big images, quite inconvenient)

Sheets would be ENORMOUS, wouldn't they? I'm not sure they'd be as useful to someone as access to the frames. Zipping the frame folders would also be faster, no?

aka what ReturnofthePhoenix just said.

I did it with Photoshop CS5... But I think it'd be easier with CS2 or earlier since they have Image Ready?

Anyways, I created a batch automation

  1. Convert mode (Indexed Color -> RGB) [Fixes one frame animations from having horrid final results for some reason]
  2. Image Size (Height: 256px, With Scale Styles, With Constrain Proportions, Interpolation: Bicubic) [Sets to the height of the DS sprites]
  3. Canvas Size (Width 192px, Horizontal Center) [Crops the HD Scaled Sprite to the DS dimensions, did this to make the HD thumbnails ultra compatible with projects dependent upon the DS's 256x192 size, though this can cause some loss of content, I figured it was worth it. It's a thumbnail after all, and the original HD stuff isn't touched]
  4. Export Save for Web (GIF, 256 Colors, Without Interlace, Reduction Algorithm: Perceptual)

And that's what I did. I'm sure there's a more efficient way to do it then Photoshop. But that's what I had and knew.

Umm, Mia!Maya and Mia!Maya Waitress are supposed to be under Older Mia's section, but it's on Young Mia's section. And Maya Waitress is supposed to be under maya but it's under Older Mia.

I was doing a comparison on GBA/DS vs HD sprites for Edgeworth. Is there a reason the Zoom sprites are a, uhh, cut-off box? And does the Mia Zoom sprite not show on HD iOS version? :gregory:

The rest of the zoom sprites are actually background images, they're posted in a previous zip. The ones I have just aren't spliced together.

As for the Mia Zoom... it should exist...

And I wonder... why aren't most of the sprites featuring blinking animations? The raw files do have blinking frames.

The quick answer is, it's not in the animation data. Though I am curious on who you've noticed that does have blinking frames, but doesn't use said frames.

Well, I've seen Phoenix having blinking frames. If you would look through the raw folder with the animations and backgrounds in it, I think you'd find blinking frames.
EDIT: Well, it looks like certain characters have blinking frames and others don't. Weird...

Since the problems people have mentioned haven't been corrected yet, anybody wants me to upload the missing animations? In addition to the zooms and Mia!MayaWaitress, I think Mia!Pearl is also missing. There seems to be something wrong with Godot's zip too.
I also have non-character animations if anyone's interested.

So, where could one get their hands on the in-game Locations and Screenshots? : D

EDIT: Also, I can't get the Sahwit HD zips...
