(Basically, it's saying that the next issue of Weekly Famitsu Magazine will feature new details on Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney.)

I preemtivly claim that this topic will be reused when the issue is actually leaked.

I still wonder how many cases there will be and how long the game is in general. Yes, there is actually only one big story, but we already know of two different cases: Mahoney accused of killing someone in London and Mahoney accused of witchcraft (and also killing someone) in Labyrinth City. So I guess there could be more "cases" later on, which all belong to the same story. I mean it would be hard to have ~10 different courtroom phases with only the witchcraft case, wouldn't it?

This for some reason made me realize something: Layton games have a lot more characters in them. But most of them are incredibly shallow. Ace attorney has the opposite approach: as few characters as possible, but make them deep.

Now that you mention that, I do wonder how big the influence the mob system will be on the characterization of every witness. I mean, the mob system inherently makes every witness 'less' important as a person, reducing them to just one in a bigger group of witnesses.

Maybe that's the reason these witnesses are drawn "Layton style" and not like the important characters in "AA style".

I wonder if every individual witness will have their profile. I doubt it.

Kind of off topic, but are they done announcing characters for Project X Zone? :U
