YAYYYYY OMG!!! Interesting that there was no confirmation for PL VS AA in the U.S yet. Will we be getting AA5 first in the U.S? Hmmm

I'm super late on this, but thanks a ton, deMat. This semester has been way busier than expected, so I didn't get to put together a wrap-up.

My personal bet is that since Level-5 will be releasing Layton and the Miracle Mask later this month, they will be working on localizing Layton vs AA as soon as the game is done, and most likely quietly reveal a release date by next E3 as they have done with every Layton game so far. As Layton 6 isn't out in Japan and will most likely take a while, this would leave the only Layton (and AA by extension) game to localize for us, so I would expect it to land here by Fall/Autumn of 2013.

As for AA5, that one's entirely up to the Japanese release date, but I wouldn't count on it getting here until after the crossover game gets here, unless Capcom will be translating it early for a western market. The fast confirmation is unusual, so that one's hard to pin-point for when it will get here.

I'm happy either way, though.

Indeed. I agree while heatedly with you Tripple. I'd only like to add that Capcom has traditionally favored Feb-Mar for Ace Attorney games in the west. So my best bet is the immediate occurrence after Japan's release date, which puts us in 2014 unfortunately. But we should hopefully have Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney some time in 2013 do we should have our Ace Attorney quota fulfilled.

The wild card in my assumption is that Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney might upgrade projections for GS5, so that might get moved to a more profitable quarter. Which would likely mean a delay to April or later.
