Case 2’s title is difficult to translate, but it could be read as “Turnabout Monsters’ Parade” or something to that effect - the term used is 百鬼夜行, a term referring to groups of monsters or spirits proceeding through the night in a procession. The case features a Steel Samurai-like hero wearing a fox’s mask.
The case involves Apollo and Kokone investigating a “kitsune’s forest” filled with ‘ghosts’ (presumably all this is a movie or theme park), and Apollo is also playable in court, where Jin Yugami acts as prosecutor.
At one point, Apollo is mistaken for a ghost himself because of his hair!
Hopefully we’ll get full scans, or official media, sooner rather than later.

Why would I even want DLC for an Ace Attorney game? This isn't a game like Tales Of, where I will constantly see all my playable characters a ton, as well as in battle - in Gyakuten, after all, I walk around as Phoenix and majority of the time, I won't see him from 3rd-person perspective until I get into court. What would be the point in getting a DLC for him? Unless they really, really go all the way and have all the event scenes and animated cutscenes alter, to reflect the DLC costumes I might get and use.

My guess (also stated in IRC): these outfits were already modeled for the characters, but they decided not to use them when finalizing the look of the game. Why not use them as a pointless, but motivating for some, incentive for people to buy the game early?
It probably doesn't make any sense in-story though. The only visual novel game I know of where costume changing made sense (though not via DLC) is Analogue: A Hate Story.
Other than that, yes, DLC doesn't make sense in a visual novel game, unless it adds new story (or cases in this case).

However, it did say Apollo was going to appear in court, and Nick already has Kokone as a defense aide.
It's still possible he could be a former prosecutor who's a witness in the second case. Though inversely, you could say Apollo could be a former defense attorney who will be a witness or suspect.

I don't think this really matters. PLvsAA has shown that it's possible to have more than one aid behind the defense's bench. I think either Apollo will help Phoenix and/or be a witness. That makes the most sense, IMO.

Based on those colors, that may also suggest that Edgeworth will not only appear in the game, but also play a major role in it. Whether or not it means he'll be playable remains to be seen.

Indeed When I saw the logo I was a bit confused. Text is blue, but the number "5" is Red. And there is a little tail, like an arrow, on the number 5.

As I said, it "implies". It's no confirmation, but usually just saying "appearing in court" can be written with 法廷に立つ or something like it. To actually "fight" in court means a much greater amount of interaction. I've seen 戦う being used for playable characters too, so...
But I admit that I'm crazily hyped about this. Definitely buying on day one. Don't care for price.

And are you serious about that thing about logo colours? Edgeworth probably is going to be in the game, based on that cutscene they showed at TGS, but Logo Haruspicy is an incredibly poor basis to make that guess on. The 5 isn't even the right colour!

Finally, back in business.
From what I've gathered from glancing at Tumblr comments, people are either super hyped or somewhat discouraged about the information coming out. It's hard to follow anything, let alone discuss things, over there, so I'm interested to see a real discussion on here (beyond the three or so people I've been talking to on IRC).
Here are a few random thoughts I have, most of which I already expressed on IRC.
Jin is the most over-the-top designed prosecutor so far (try to name all the reasons why), and I see that being a bit too much for some people. Personally, I hope he has good motivations, otherwise he's going to be a what-you-see-is-what-you-get character.
Alternate outfits are really strange in a visual novel game, let alone via DLC, and I don't think any other visual novels do that because, well, it's pointless. I can only think of one visual novel that has (not DLC) costume changing, and it made sense: Analogue: A Hate Story. At least right now those outfits are just an incentive to buy the game early, but I'm sure people will complain more if it turns into paid DLC later.
Not really a fan of any of the alternate outfits, although I notice that the classic Phoenix outfit removes his hair lock, which is an interesting detail. I wonder if the reason these outfits exist in the first place is because at least one was fully modeled at some point, but they were dropped in favor of the current designs.
Character designs in this game are definitely a bit different from the other AA games. Phoenix and Apollo's irises are HUGE. While I wouldn't say the sprites in past AA games were realistic, they at least looked natural enough to me. But these eyes make Phoenix look feminine from the front perspective, at least to me. Apollo's nose looks a bit weird from the front too. I can get used to it, and the translation from sprite to 3D model isn't easy, but the little things in the designs just feel a bit off.
And as usual, Japan gets ton of pre-order bonuses. Probably won't come to the US, even though a few localized games (like Ni No Kuni) have been getting preorder bonuses in the US lately.
I am still generally positive about this game. Just cautiously optimistic.
Now that we have in-game shots of Apollo, who is playable in the second case, I wonder where bandaged Apollo comes from. Are the screenshots of Apollo in court directly correlated to Case 2, or could those screenshots be from anywhere? Even so, it puts the theory of Apollo getting hurt in the bombing into question, although the theory isn't disproven.

It's not that I hate Capcom, per se; it's just that I'm really baffled by their stupid decisions such as their whole paid DLC fiasco, pretty much pulling the plug from the Mega Man series, not localizing certain games, and really not listening to their own fans. The paid DLC on AA5 is really just a joke on my part, because I highly doubt they WOULD do that. There's probably going to be very little DLC, so it would make no sense to already have it on the cartridge and charge for it. They should go the Professor Layton route and give FREE DLC.
I haven't forgotten that they're the great company that gave us Mega Man, Street Fighter, Ace Attorney, and Resident Evil in the first place; but they're doing such a myriad of dumb business decisions that are only angering fans. All I want is for Capcom to clean up their act and, well... CARE!!!!! Is that so much to ask?
