So I played the demo the other night and I'm now more excited than ever about the game but there's one thing that bugged me. I really like that they added a text history function because I accidentally skipped some text more times than I can count in the past, but why did they have to assign it to Y? I like using the microphone all the time to press and object because I'm weird like that, and I'm so used to pressing Y that I kept opening the history by accident.

But what's worse is that the microphone isn't even assigned to a button - you have to press the mic icon in the corner of the touchscreen, which felt really clunky to me. Still, I could get used to that I guess, if it weren't for the fact that the voice commands didn't register most of the time. *sadface*

Here's hoping that the mic will work better in the full version.

I don't think tapping the microphone icon really an issue. Instead of holding down Y, you can tap the icon and in order to disable it, you have to tap it again. I really hated how in the previous games you have to hold it down. (I don't know it's just me.)

I had absolutely no problem activating the voice commands. You know the 3DS microphone is in a different location compared to the one of the NDS?

I used the mic once during Take That, and it registered one second later. Remember, you are supposed to shout the phrase. Also, for me, the Y button was probably the button I pressed the least when playing AA.

lol yeah, I know that. Not sure what was wrong with it :/
I'll try again sometime this week and see if I can figure it out.

Yeah, I was shouting it the same way I did in the previous games. I just finished replaying T&T on my 3DS last week and never had a problem with the microphone so it's definitely something to do with the demo itself. It's probably a timing thing, like you probably have to wait half a second after tapping the mic icon. Took me some time to get used to the timing back then too, so hopefully it'll work fine.

I'm not sure how I feel about Phoenix's voice (eh). Mr. Riegel sounds a bit too stale for my tastes, and it sounds like he has tried sounding more like Liam O'Brien.

Well a little more Liam O'Brien does anyone good. Though I liked the voice, felt Riegal sounded too young in UMVC3 so I feel that was corrected a little bit.

ALSO ATHENA IS SO ADOWABLE :sparkly-maggey:

Also kinda amazing tech-wise too I'd assumed the psych device came built into a computer in the desk or something.

I'm pretty sure Liam O'Brien will do Edgeworth. O'Brien hosts All Work No Play with Sam Riegel, right? Coincidence?

For anyone experiencing mic issues, I kept having issues with my mic when I plugged headphones. I found out that the 3DS apparently supports those headphone mics (where there's a little mic build into the heaphones). So if you're playing with headphones that have a mic, make sure to blow on the headphones' mic and not the 3ds mic.
