Coming shortly after release of the main game, the previously announced extra episode ‘Turnabout Reclaimed’ which introduces Orla the whale and her pirate trainer Sasha Buckler will go on-sale. We’ll have more details on the additional episode release soon
That's probably gonna be $0.99, and £0.79.

I think it's better to play it after you've completed the main game, it's the order the developers wanted us to play it in anyway

Assuming this is true for the US too, I'll probably see where I am at in my marathon on release, and if I still have most of AJ to do I'll wait for the DLC but if I'm done already then I'll play DD first and then play the DLC later.

Well, the reason I said that is because it's what I've heard from Japanese speakers who've played the game. It won't be the end of the world though.

Yeah, it looks like they're pretty much emulating the Japanese release, which makes me think that the DLC case will be released around November 6th or 7th. I'm planning to buy a $40 eShop card, because I can't imagine the DLC case will be more than $9.99 in the states. Probably will be more around 7 or 8 bucks.
EDIT: I just noticed Chris from Capcom responded to a topic I created about the DLC on the Capcom-Unity forums. He posted it the day of the Nintendo Direct:
We'll have more information on the extra case soon. October 24th isn't too far off ;)
It seems to imply it might be like the Japanese release, in that we didn't find out about the release date for the DLC until the day of DD's release, but he could just mean that with the release date coming up more info will be coming very soon.

Yep, it's canon. It's Phoenix' first case after he got is badge back and supposedly pretty good.
From what I heard, it's actually loosely based on a real case, and the only one in the series where they planned it that way.
