Hi, I just found this blog post from Capcom's Chris:

http://www.capcom-unity.com/xantista/bl ... -ringtones

Apparently it's about to be released the upcoming monday, but I found it via the tag search.

There you can hear most of the new English voice clips of Phoenix (already known), Athena, Apollo, Miles, Gaspen, Klavier and Simon. Klavier's and Miles' Objections are new recordings.

My humble opinion:

Apollo - Need to get used to his new voice, because I really liked his old samples. But it's not bad at all.
Athena - We already knew her "Hold it!" and the other voice clips are just as expected. Although to me her "Take That!" sounds like Mia's.
Gaspen - He sounds way more confident than his brother and also way more evil. I really like it.
Klavier - Very nice, I don't think I will miss his old "Objection!" very much.
Miles - Need to get used to it.

Miles sounds a LOT more gruff and serious than I imagined
Klavier sounds a LOT better than his 15 year old voice in AJ
Apollo sounds AS EXPECTED
Athena is also expected
Gaspen sounds as I imagined him after I heard that he was more "dark" than Winston

Why do I feel like Athena's "Take that!" sound odd...?

I'm kinda afraid to hear it now that you say Miles voice is odd.

EDIT: I actually like Edgeworth's, now that I've heard it. It sounds really posh still, but he sounds like a brawn xD
Apollo I really, really like. He actually sounds like a 23 year old in this game.
Athena's clips were kinda weird. The only one I felt sounded right was the Hold it.
Klavier sounded better in AJ:AA IMO. He sounds so weird now.
Gaspen is amazing.

I think they accidently spliced 2 recordings of her "take that"

My opinion so far:

Phoenix: I still like his new voice effects better than his older ones. They sound much less whiny. Sam Reigel wasn't the voice in my head I had for Phoenix but he's more similar to it than Ben Judd's original recordings.

Athena: Her voice sounds fine, but I concur with those who think the "take that" sounds strange. I think Blizdi is right; I think her Take That sounds like they edited together a couple of different takes. That might just be her voice though.

Apollo: Really happy with Apollo, he sounds very very similar to the AJ voice actor.

Edgeworth: While I was surprised to hear his new voice, I like it. I've always imagined Edgeworth to have a deeper voice than his original sound effects, and now that he's older it's fitting.

Payne: It doesn't bother me, but I'm really surprised he wasn't high-pitched and over-the-top like Winston. Does anyone know if the Japanese voice actor was this different as well?

Klavier: Not a fan of Klavier. What the heck happened? It sounds higher-pitched and it sounds like they didn't even try to make it similar to his AJ Objection.

Blackquill: Sounds great. I've always like his voice.

Overall, I'm happy. Only one that's bugging me is Klavier's.
I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

I met the real voice actor for AJ:AA's Klavier on NeoGAF, we chat on skype and I've met him :D... he got an early preview of Case 3, apparently it was a "sorry we replaced you" gift from Capcom XD, he said that... because the lower 3ds quality + the fact he has like 20 minutes of screen time, it didn't bother him

Yeah, I wouldn't exactly say Klavier's is awful but aside from the sound-quality his original Objection was perfect for the character.

I don't object to *most* of these. Miles is weird though. He sounds like he's 80 years old :I

Exactly. This new one sounds like some guy just did a generic objection. In fact, it sounds like the same guy who did Gaspen's. Capcom probably didn't bother getting a different voice actor for the less important roles.

Which makes me think, why did they even bother when Guilty Love is just the same as in AJ:AA?

Assuming there is no point when Klavier speaks in a cutscene, then yeah they could have just used his original. The "lesser sound quality" seems like a fake excuse to be honest. Like you said, they're using DS-era music, so they could have just used his GS4 objection.

Phoenix- Already knew that one. I'm kind of used to it already. Even though I prefer Ben Judd, Sam's is still pretty good.
Apollo- I really like it. His voice in AJ always bothered me because it sounded like he was coughing out the words. So yeah, no objections here.
Ha ha, get it? No "objections?" Yes, I know I'm not funny.
Athena- I only like her "Hold it!" her "Take that!" sounds funny and her "Objection!" sounds too... I don't know, is squeaky the right word?
Edgeworth- NO NO NO NO! I'm sorry, but he sounds like he's 60 years old in this. Sounds good for the old man from Up, but not for Edgeworth.
Gaspen- I like it. At least it doesn't hurt my ears like Winston's did.
Klavier- I personally prefer his old one. They didn't even try to make it sound similar to his original. The voice itself isn't bad, it just doesn't fit him.
Simon- Meh... Not a huge fan. His "Silence!" in the trailer at the end of the demo sounded nice though.

Now we'll just wait until Miles' voice becomes like von Karma's. :karma:

I actually thought it sounded more Phoenix's new objection than Gaspen's. Maybe Sam Reigel did the voice for more than one character?

But yeah, I'm pleased with most of them. The only one I'm down on is Klavier's for the above reasons. I just expected Klavier's to have a bit of an accent to it.

Edgeworth's kind of sounds like a cross between his original and Von Karma's objection.

Gaspen's sounds exactly like you should, though I admit that I'm going to miss Winston's over-the-top high-pitched objection.

I know a lot of people don't like Blackquill's, but I thought it him quite well.

Both Apollo and Athena sound exactly how I imagine them sounding, so I'm pleased with them.

I thought Phoenix, Apollo and Athena all sounded fine. I liked Gaspen's a lot too.

Edgeworth's sounded too much like von Karma, I think. I actually imagined his voice sounding more like the one for Blackquill.

Klavier's doesn't have that much of an accent which disappoints me. Hopefully, that will come up more if he actually speaks in the game.

The main image with Phoenix holding an IPhone, the phones background cover was the background cover for my phone to :D. I also got an Android app that has all the objections, take that's and hold it's but I think it was taken down you could even save them as your text alert.

So here's my thoughts on the voices

Phoenix - I like it. I'm fine with Sam being his new voice so no objections here
Apollo - Pretty fantastic. Just a little deeper than what I imagine Apollo's voice to be when I read his text in the games but Orion pretty much nailed it.
Athena - I like her hold it. Her Take That is a bit odd and kinda sounds weak and her Objection is Mia like but I'll get used to it pretty quick.
Gaspen - Pretty fantastic also. As much as I expected from Winston's brother who looks more menacing and evil.
Klavier - It isn't bad but his AJ voice sounded more in tune with his rock star personality than this. He doesn't appear for long in the game so what little we will be hearing from Klavier won't bug me unlike...
Edgeworth - Oh dear...
Simon - I'm a fan though based on the trailer at the end of the demo I'm having a hard time connection Objection to Silence. They just sound so different from each other like he's not the same person. Really hoping the final game will help make the connection between the two voice clips

So overall some are alright, some are great, and Edgeworth... yeah... they dropped the ball on that one. Going to take a long time to get used to that

They sound fine for the most part, but Edgeworth...

It makes him sound WAY too old. I'm wondering what his full voice acting will be like in the cutscenes.

That was my thought at first, but when I started thinking about it, imaging that voice in normal dialogue made me think it will probably work out. Kind of like Athena; If I had just heard her sound effects, I wouldn't have been too impressed, but I know that when she talks she sounds fine, so I'm hoping it's the same thing with Edgeworth.

Imagine how many times these actors have to do this short clips. Yes, it's only a few words; but they pretty much have to be PERFECT. I wonder how much *actual* voice acting there is in the game. Is it only with the cutscenes? How many are there?

Why are we making such a big deal with these clips.

Now there will be people who prefer the old ones over the new ones won't there?

This is the internet, and people like throwing around their opinions. So yeah.

Personally, some of these are off-putting right now, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. Klavier's voice will probably be the hardest one to get used to though; it's so different.

IMO, they're OK at best, though Edgeworth's is going to take time.

Wonder how Pearl will sound in the DLC?

I don't care how bad they may sound; I demand that they be uploaded ASAP. The tension is unbearable!

The more I hear Blacky's "Objection!" the more it grows on me. I'm liking that Victorian English accent.

...To be fair, I wasn't that fond of Takemoto's "Igiari!" when I first heard it - sounded a bit too generic. His voice acting in the scenes was fine, though. Hence why I'm not so picky about these voice clips. It's the scenes I'm waiting for.
