I'm not sure, but I think the artist is Tatsuro Iwamoto, the first artist of Ace Attorney saga.
Iwamoto is also the artist of the two Ace Attorney Investigations Games.

So Iwamoto is the artist? I didn't realize he also worked on the AAI art as well; I thought Kazuya did everything ever since Yomigaeru Gyakuten + AJ, haha. But really cool to know that he's still illustrating stuff, and better than ever.

Thanks for the info! It seems like he changed his style for these new images, though. I mean, just compare the new Edgeworth to the official art of AAI:

Oh, it's not that bad. I got the impression he was supposed to look like a horrible bastard demon spawn who only cares about convicting criminals to maintain his perfect win record. And honestly, I don't see it being much worse than the original art for the other characters.
This updated art is nice, though.

Maya's is just fine, though. No matter where, Maya will always be fine in my book.

I'd say her sleeves are a bit loose on her. A careful look at the shading around the arm can show a subtle outline of the shape of her arm, and it's pretty skinny. (A bit too skinny, but whatever.)
I think I'm bothered by the slightly rounder abdomens on the girls in general. I hope my eyes are playing tricks on me.
...And what is it about Godot and Franziska that makes them look sexy no matter what?

It's missing a metric shit-ton of frames, the character's borders are WAAAAY too thin, and they overall look bad. If they added more frames, made them look less wonkey, I'd have less of a problem. I just wish they'd re-do the originals and forget about these 'HD' ones.
I wish they'd just use the engine they just made, make some new models/backrounds, and re-make the the trilogy in the DD engine. I'm sure that takes a lot of effort, but Capcom needs to get their shit together and put some actual effort in their games. We can all say that the HD collection on iOS was complete garbage. (Bugs, spelling errors, and plenty of mess ups with evidence and profiles)
I also would like to see this on steam, but we all know THAT won't happen, because Capcom hates PC.
