Capcom has announced their E3 schedule, including a booth for Spirit of Justice:

Quote:
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice (Nintendo 3DS; September 2016) – The latest title in the courtroom drama series sees Phoenix Wright traveling to the Kingdom of Khura’in to meet an old friend. While being shown around, tragedy strikes and Ahlbi, Phoenix’s tour guide and young monk in training, is accused of murder! Soon finding that Khura’in employs lawyer-less courtrooms, Phoenix jumps in to do what he does best and defend Ahlbi. Using the new Séance Trial mechanic, see the last moments of the victim’s life, and find the flaw in Royal priestess Rayfa’s insights that will help Phoenix prove Albi’s innocence! Packed with clever writing, humorous dialogue, and plenty of puzzles, Spirit of Justice provides an all-new courtroom experience, with the demo being presented in a recreation of a Khura’in courtroom right at our booth!

In addition, there will be a stream of the English version of the game at 2 PM Pacific. We'll be watching and chatting on Cytube, or you can check Capcom's Twitch channel directly.

We'll let you know if any news shows up!
Hi! I've largely stepped back from C-R due to life stuff. Please contact one of the other staff members for help!

It looks like tomorrow from 11 AM to 12 PM there'll be another SoJ stream! It's described as behind the scenes stories from development staff and fan questions.
Hype!!!

I don't. I finished it. I'm eligible for my permit next month (My birthday's in January).

Anyway, I'm looking forward to knowing the English translation of Jiin Temple and Mima Waruhito. That, and the official transliteration of "ポルクンカー", unless they change it to something else.

Tehm'pul Temple... I am speechless.

Anyways, looking forward to see more English footage and hope we'll get the exact release date soon. I will take some free days to play this, so the sooner I can schedule my vacation the better.

Well, the Japanese name was "ジーン寺院" (Jiin Jiin), so it's only natural the name would sound similar to "Temple Temple".

I somehow managed to spoil the murderer of the first case, half of what happens in the third, and one more murderer for one other case (I can't say which, because that itself would be a spoiler), along with how important Apollo is in this game. God, I'm bad with spoilers

Well, he is shown in the opening of the case and it's not like there is anybody else who could be the murderer, so at least that hardly counts as a spoiler. ;)

Just a note, but the first trial isn't supposed to be a murder trial at all.

It's so bizarre to see Janet Hsu on livestream next to Yamazaki and Eshiro for some reason.

Anyways, the localization seems to be shaping up super-well as always. I like the terms they use like "Magistry" and so on. Everything has a nice ring to it, and yay! the text seems to be sharpened up as I hoped.

EDIT: Wow.... those puns are... really on the nose? Isn't that a bit more than usual?

So, am I to understand that there'll be two livestreams, one today and one tommorrow.

Also, is the Ace Attorney bit its own stream or part of the Capcom collective as a whole?

The localization looks to be as solid as always, although I do hope that they'll be more careful on the grammar and typos (I remember having seen a bit more errors in Dual Destinies than in the other installments). I've already spotted one grammatical error, as Ahlbi says "If I knew you were a lawyer" instead of "If I had known you were a lawyer" at one point.

Also, was the whole Pohlkunka thing in the Japanese version?

At best it's colloquial, eliminating unnecessary words the way humans do in speech every day.

Typos are one thing, but I think grammatical errors (For spoken dialogue, at least) are subjective to the character. Lotta Hart makes a ton of grammatical errors, for example.

Yes. It's an incorrect use of tenses, as you use the past perfect, not the past, to talk about a condition set in the unreal past (e.g., "If I'd been at the beach yesterday, I would have met her" shows that I was not at the beach yesterday). "If I knew you were a lawyer" implies that he doesn't know right now that Phoenix is a lawyer, but that doesn't fit the context of the sentence.

True, but I can argue that since Ahlbi is a tour guide, he's expected to speak well (or at least well enough to express basic conditionals correctly). From what I've seen, he doesn't speak with a nonstandard dialect as Lotta does. I think this is simply an oversight in the localization rather than anything intended to add to his characterization. The localization in general looks shipshape (especially the testimony and cross-examination introductions).

Is there an official transliteration of "アッピラッケー"? "ポルクンカー" was transliterated as "Pohlkunka". Do you think it might be something like "Ahpilahki" or "Ahpilahke"? Seeing how the localization team throws in too many "H"s, there might be an "H" in it.

To be fair, Ahlbi's like 9 years old. Most kids wouldn't be talking at a very high level at his age.

I don't really see that kind of conditional as high-level, but now that I've thought about it more, I guess it's plausible he used that kind of conditional because he's still a kid.

Dude I think you're overthinking it. It may not be grammatically correct, but a lot of casual speaking doesn't involve grammatically correct sentences.
