If it seems all quiet on the Ace Attorney front, that's because it has been. However, there's still been a little trickle of news coming out of Japan. - If you're a big fan of the lads from The Great Ace Attorney and are willing to pay a staggering price, you can now purchase 75 cm plushies of Ryu and Asogi from eCapcom in Japan. - There was an Ace Attorney rock concert a couple of days ago, and you can see a snippet of rehearsal footage for that here (including some impressive accordion playing to make Weird Al proud). - Don't forget that the 2019 orchestra concert CD comes out on the 24th - you can purchase it here or here, and thanks to WarChild on the forums, the track list seems to be Spoiler: Track list - be wary of DGS2 spoilers - Finally, in non-Ace Attorney news, Professor Layton and Pandora's Box received an iOS and Android port last month, and Layton's Mystery Journey Deluxe Edition releases on the Switch on November 11th. Hopefully we'll see some more news on the future of the Ace Attorney series some time this year, but in the meantime we'll just have to patiently wait and replay the Trilogy again. |

Oh man I hope that rock concert makes it to youtube in the future. I'd LOVE to see that. |

Sounds pretty epic, yeah. Definitely listening to that sweet orchestra album once it hits next week as well. |

I'm hoping we'll hear about AJ, DD, SoJ trilogy for multi-platform at the next TGS, along with hopefully a new AA. I'm hoping the franchise has been successful on Switch as well as other consoles and PC because hopefully that will let us avoid any of the localization limbo we've felt when a new game is announced (although to Capcom's credit they pretty quickly announced the localizations for DD or SoJ). SoJ wrapped up a lot plot-wise, and now that all the major consoles are capable of running most AAA games, the possibilities for what they could do with AA7 are pretty limitless. I hope they keep the visual novel style for the courtrooms, but I also wouldn't be against some more in-depth exploration/investigating. We have about two months until TGS so we'll have to wait and see. |

I definitely agree I wouldn't be opposed to a Danganronpa style of video game where the courtroom is visual novel style with a bit more of an action system for objections/presenting evidence, but the exploration and investigations are more indepth. They've developed a very nice platform for murder mystery visual novels and I honestly wouldn't mind if they took a slight bite out of what they're doing while keeping their own courtroom/artistic AA flare to it. |

So uh... How big are the chances we'll get Ace Attorney news at TGS this year? Because I'm looking at Capcom's schedule and I'm not really seeing any opportunities for them to drop a big announcement of the AA kind. |

I think it's 0% considering AA's not on the schedule at all so..... better luck next year, everybody. |

It's been precisely three years since we got Ace Attorney 6. The localized version, even. Ace Attorney 5 was released a bit less than three years before that. C'mon, Capcom! Don't leave us hanging! |

Well, I think a new writer would have to be coming back to properly handle it and stuff. Yamazaki doesn't seem interested in making a new one again after SoJ and Takumi seems more focused on side-series stuff. |

So we might not get anything AA at TGS this year? That's disappointing. I was hoping we'd at least get the rumored "Apollo Trilogy" port announced. |

It's a detective game with Picross puzzles (sometimes too many for it's own good) but it's generally enjoyable and the music is a delight that fills me with AA nostalgia |

Leaving Capcom, but at the end he says he's going to continue game development. So doesn't seem like he's retiring yet. |

Yamazaki has been designing dojin board/card games for a while now by the way. He's in the circle Hareyama Games, together with AA artist Iwamoto (and more members). Might see more of him from that direction too. |
