In an unexpected announcement today, Street Fighter 6, one of the biggest PVP fighting game franchises, just announced a Warrior of Neo Olde Tokyo DLC where you can play as the Steel Samurai from Ace Attorney. It is titled the Turnabout Gala Fighting Pass. To be precise, it is simply a custom skin that you can put on any character.



Not only that, but it adds on bonus features such as Ace Attorney music, an Objection emote during battle, and other extra visual themes for use in game.
The available songs include:

Pursuit – Cornered from the first game,
Pursuit – Questioned from Justice for All, and
Pursuit – Caught from Trials and Tribulations.
... Although unfortunately, no actual Steel Samurai Theme. We can forgive them, right?



As shown in the trailer, there are enough customizations to give a character Phoenix Wright-themed outfits and skins, and to have him yell Objection! as well as show the opponent on the witness stand. Although sadly, the Objection sound isn't the original one some of us are attached to.

This feels like the first kind of tribute a fighting game has given to Ace Attorney since Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 or Project X Zone 2, but in this case, the graphics are insanely detailed and top of the line! It's been about a decade since something like this has happened.

Street Fighter 6 is available to play online for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.

Nice to see Ace Attorney's still alive to a certain extent despite the lack of brand-new games, even if it's just a silly little crossover DLC (still a lot more serious or "sensible" than when they gave Maya huge shoulders but I'm not complaining lol)

No Steel Samurai theme is kind of sad, but I can see why - the only Steel Samurai-themed content is the costume itself based on the picture provided, most of it seems to revolve around the core content of the first game. I will admit I do like the costume a lot though, you can clearly tell this is the Steel Samurai. Plus he comes in better graphics.
