I always see it as more of a gasp than a scream. I have fond memories of that trailer, it got my REALLY hyped for the game.

That's the whole point. Instead of saying 'What the!?' like he should've, those crazy Japanese wrote 'What a!?" in the initial trailer. This got repaired in the subsequent trailer and in the final game.

The game was set with the spinoff of beginning in the year I was born in. How cool is that?

I don't know about you guys, but this game just scared me after I beat it. I think it's just th e nearly creepy music it makes during when the characters are talking about something that happened earlier in their lives. The "What A?" noise definitely didn't help that.
(Btw, if you're wondering why it scared me, I played it every night for four nights, the night when I beat it, I had treouble going to sleep, I think it was because all that I had taken in. I'm just weird like that I guess :P)

Yeah, the trailer shot this game to the top of my must-get list. The final mood of the game didn't really turn out the same as I expected, but it turned out to be a great game nonetheless.

I think the mood of that trailer led me to believe that the game would play more like an eerie thriller.
