Phoenix has recently retaken his bar exam, but thanks to a new revised legal system, he's forced to go into a mock trial where a "judical instructor" as his aide, who tests him on everything a defense attorney should know.
Now Mr. Wright, the witness has given their testimony. Now is the time for you to do what? *slaps desk with ruler*
GACK! E-Erm, the "Cross Examination" maam. (Why is she asking me this?! I already know this stuff!)The prosecutor of course is Payne, who due to his recent slipups has been forced to work mock trials for new students.
The murderer would turn out to be the detective working the case, and in the end it turns out the mock trial was actully a real unsolved case that Phoenix just inadvertently solved.
Good work Mr. Wright, you should be proud to wear that badge. Uh, thanks maam... (Guess I'm doing the police's work now. Can I get their paychecks along with this badge?)

Hmm. Do I need to go over the basics before I start the Cross Examination?--> No. I've played the other four games. I know how it goes.
On second thoughts, I'm pretty confident in my experience. I know that I just need to Present the evidence in the Court Record that contradicts with the testimony. I can always Press the witness if nothing stands out.--> So you tell me anyway. Do my choices even matter?

More likely scenarios are Phoenix telling Apollo things he already knows, Apollo having to remind himself, or someone else,, such as Trucy or the Judge having to explain to Apollo what he should already know.

I personally like Hobo! Nick getting annoyed when Apollo or someone tries to remind him about the stuff he already knows theory, because those of us who have played the last 4 games know what we're doing and we will probably be just as annoyed, but it still lets the new players learn.
