And Oldbag was a security guard that nobody liked. Honestly, I think Takita has a good possibility of coming back.
It doesn't have to be a case within his yakuza element. It'd probably make more sense if it was, but he could be connected through other means.

As for people coming back, like I said earlier, every one of Phoenix's clients from GS1 made a return in a later game. It's not so unbelievable that Takita would show up again, especially now that his family isn't acting as criminals anymore. His poor taste in women could make him the series' new Larry!
Or is that
?4-2 was a great case, one of my favorites over all. I wouldn't be surprised to see Takita or even Kawadzu back. They're great characters with a lot of personality. If Kawadzu shows up again after having graduated, he could be doing almost anything and fit into any case.
Hamigaki's another logical choice. As a journalist he can go anywhere, and I think his enthusiasm makes him endearing enough to keep his gimmicks from getting old.
And Makoto...
Remember, Odoroki's arc has a chance that none of the other GS games had, and that's the oppertunity to create a mystery that spans all 3 games. I really hope they take it, and give some of these seemingly minor characters important roles later on.
