Because I don't like the name Klavier, okay? >(

I got to thinking one day about how Gavin decided to devote himself entirely to prosecution and the pursuit of law and justice. After having looked up to his brother so long, I figured he might have wanted someone else to fill that role of mentor. Oh, the possibilities! Discounting the possibility of Konrad teaming up with an entirely new character, I wondered about the ramifications of his associating with various past characters who were established prosecutors before him.

Spoiler: Franziska von Karma
Konrad's "big sister," older, wiser, hotter, and more imposing than before. Sure, she may have learned compassion, but her strict sense of duty, dignity, and presence are all the traits Konrad seeks to have, in himself and those he looks up to. She has at least seven years of seniority as a prosecutor, having practiced law since her teens. Who knows, maybe some German sparks could fly?

Ich will keinnen mann...

Spoiler: Miles Edgeworth
The inimitable and enigmatic Edgeworth makes his return, a true tour de force that may perhaps threaten to steal the spotlight from Konrad. And we may get to learn a little bit about what happened to him in the interim years...

This would be a true feast for fangirls (and boys), seeing the two most-loved prosecutors of the series combine their strengths. Don't even get me started on the shipping wars that would commence over this.

Spoiler: Lana Skye
Possible dark horse competitor for this spot, especially with her younger sister Ema on the force. Lana herself may have aged gracefully, and can provide a definitely mature and careful tone compared to the more hotblooded von Karma and the stoic Edgeworth. She has always been someone in a position of respect and command, and this would be the crowning achievement after the long, painful climb back up the ladder after her fall from grace.

Maybe this should have been lumped in with the rest of the theory threads. Oh well.

DISCUSS

Fun Fact: All three of these possibilities feature in my fan fic. Don't expect to read it any time soon, it'll be huge. ._.

I think Franziska oughtta be his mentor. She could teach him how to be agressive like a German should! :franny:

I guess it would be awesome if Franziska got to be a mentor for Klavier I mean Konrad. She's German too, after all. :kyouya:

I...don't really see Klavier teaming up with Franziska any time soon, to be honest. The woman has a thing for whips, and Klavier's personality seems way too laid-back for Franziska to really work with. Besides, she's only...what, two years older than him? I don't think there would really be a mentor relationship going on. I can't even really tell if Klavier is a misogynist; he doesn't really show much respect for Ema (though...it's debatable whether anyone really would), and there aren't any really strong female characters for him to relate to in GS4. Lamiroir doesn't count.

Though with that said, I'm wondering if Lana might help change things. It'd be interesting to see Klavier's interactions with her. It might also be a constant source of irritation for Ema if that "glimmerous fop" was obviously more deferential to her sister than to her.

Edgeworth...meh. As much as I'd love to see him back in the games, I don't know if there's any connections to be made between him and Klavier, unless Phoenix were involved. The way I see it, Edgeworth returns, and after the writers miraculously sort out his reaction to Phoenix's disbarment, he "challenges" Klavier by taking a court battle to see just how good Apollo, as Phoenix's "apprentice", is. Or Klavier challenges him, knowing Edgeworth's reputation and wanting to see how he reacts to the new law systems. Either way it'd be a "then vs. now: THE DEVELOPMENTAL PROCESS UNFOLDS" case and I'd have to think more about it. /o/
