Of course, he could still be a prosecutor I guess, maybe he'd be a solo rock star?
I'm not sure if I want to see a legitimately evil prosecutor or a "nice" one a la Klavier. I liked Klavier, he was a cool character but he wasnt as badass as say, Godot and he had no real reason to win against Apollo if that makes sense.

Klavier was actually a Prosecutor with good reason to be carefull with Apollo. Apollo pinned the crime on his brother (who was also Apollo's mentor) while defending a (in his mind) forger, then Apollo teamed up with said "forger".

Except for the fact that since he's a good prosecutor, he made the game super-easy by babying you through almost every case
I really hope we see as little of Klavier as possible in GS5, 'cause he was a really bad character

I agree Klavier babyed you, as he was a "good" man but I don't want someone a 1 dimensional evil person back, it wasnt as if Fran was actually EVIL, even in JFA but she was very annoying IMO.
Nothing wrong with good prosecutors. I think because Klavier was a rock star, that was why he was so personable. If he wasnt nice, people wouldnt buy the Gavinners songs :D

The other side of that is, of course, that he has a very good stage presence and can keep his cool in court because he's a performer, that's just how he operates.
It took a Guitar catching on fire while he was holding it to really shake him up. You'd have to really get him personally involved in the case (i.e. Either make him the defendant or have known the victim for a long time) to get him to really go after you in court with full force.

How about Apollo is too busy with [insert something here] to defend, so Klavier gets Payne (who recently switched sides of the law) as a defense attorney, loses, and is executed. (Or, alternatively, Phoenix becomes a defense attorney again, defends Klavier, and purposefully loses so Klavier is executed. That shows the Gavins for taking away his badge!)

In GS4 there were too few prosecutor's anyway.
GS1: Payne, Edgeworth and Manfred = 3
GS2: Payne, Edgeworth and Franziska = 3
GS3: Payne, Edgeworth, Franziska and Godot = 4

The minute an Attorney can prove his client innocent beyond a reasonable doubt, or, if he has knowledge BEFOREHAND, he is required to report such instances.
Without the Canon of Ethics, the law would fall apart.
Plus, Nick isn't that cruel. He'd never do what Manfred did to people.
Also, to get back on topic... I think the new Prosecutor will be someone Apollo knows, but is unknown to us.

He wasn't dis-barred for defending Maggey so badly in the first trial concerning Gen Elg's murder (OK, so it wasn't him, but everybody thought it was him!), so why would he get dis-barred for half-heartedly defending Klavier?
