I guess that they'll bring him back for the fourth/fifth case (like they did with Edgeworth and Franziska in the original trilogy).
He's either immortal or Capcom's graphics designer can't be bothered to change his sprite (there's also the fact that the appearence of old people doesn't seem to change much anyway - my grandfather looks exactly like he did when he was in his 70's)

Unless I am mistaken, Machi is a minor character (seeing as he's the defendant of 4-3, a case which is more or less "filler") in the series, and Gavin is a major one (being the only prosecutor besides Payne in AJ). So I doubt Machi'd be in GS5 (besides, he's in jail/juvinile detention anyway, right?).

As for Klavier, geh. Jurist system aside, I didn't see any pressing reason to prevent him being a (if not the) prosecutor in GS5. Unless, you know, it turns out his latest album was a flop and he chose death.

As for Klavier, geh. Jurist system aside, I didn't see any pressing reason to prevent him being a (if not the) prosecutor in GS5. Unless, you know, it turns out his latest album was a flop and he chose death.

Mid Cases- Game's main prosecutor
Final case- Another prosecutor, previous game's main (GS1 didn't have a previous game so there was Karma, and GS3's main had their issues/ new era thing so GS4 didn't get anyone other than Klavier)
So....... yeah I wouldn't bet on his absence.
