PLEASE SKIP TO THE END FOR LATEST PROGRESS!

Hello everyone, this thread is to reveal my new case making program, "easyCase 2". People may or may not remember the original easyCase beta, which was in a few threads here and here.

This casemaker is also still in beta, but unlike the original, doesn't look like as much of an ugly mess, and is much more feature complete. The "court" side of the game is nearly implemented, and investigation is soon to come. For reference, here's a few comparison screenshots between the first version and now (see the below spoiler).

Spoiler: 1 vs 2
The original:

The main difference between the two is the support for extendability, since the program can theoretically compile for any casemaker with a scripting language, given a plugin, and it also supports themes, with light theme installed by default, and dark coming later (I apologise for people's eyes in advance).

Some main features of the current beta program include:
- Shout Bubbles
- Witness Testimony
- Cross Examinations
- Game Flow Management
- Character Poses
- Music & SFX
- Custom Backgrounds
- Full Court Movement
- Evidence Support
- Automatic Updates

Here are some preview screenshots of the program to have fun with:

FAQs:
Where can I get this program? :udgey:
You can request beta access on the easyCase Discord Server, here.

When will this program be done?
When it's finished, I have no idea.

How do I get updates for the program?
There's an automatic update installer that comes bundled with the program, which will automatically detect any new updates.

Feel free to leave suggestions or other feedback in the thread.
Adios!

Hey, all. Quick hotfix, a few bugs squashed.

CHANGELOG:
- Added a "Hide Name Box" option to remove the name box from screen.
- Fixed bug where the "Jump To" action IDs would be limited to 100 on some menus.
- Fixed the AIGE window being enlarged too far for the game.
- Made sound effect pathing work properly, SFX should now play correctly.

That's all for this update, a more detailed one coming for this week's weekly build next weekend.
Adios.

Quick second hotfix to fix a few issues with PWLib characters and SFX before the weekly! :udgey:

CHANGELOG:
- Made the preview loader prefer the project directory's images over the source.
- Fixed bug where the "SFX-" sounds would not play properly.
- Added support for window size changes in the project editor.
- Changed the compiler to support window size changes.
- Updated the backend structure for projects.

Also, quick note:
DON'T ATTEMPT TO LOAD PREVIOUS PROJECTS IN THE NEW BUILD!
This may cause errors.

Thanks for using the easyCase beta. This is the first "major" weekly build! Future builds will increase the minor version number (v0.x.0), but since this one wasn't that large (exam week), I figured I'd keep it the same. Still, there are some new features available!

CHANGELOG:
- Added CUSTOM FUNCTIONS, which are now available through the function editor.
- Added custom SOUND/MUSIC SUPPORT to the editor.
- Fixed lipsync breaking on some specific poses.
- Updated the compiler structure to support a wider variety of scripts.
- Many small reported bugfixes.

Here are some new screenshots:

That's all for this update, I'll be preparing a larger one for next week's release now that exams are over. Bye!
