Fuandon's on a hiatus because he's busy with personal life and his job, dunno when he comes back. I have no idea what happened to DarthWiader, who stopped uploading on his channel, leaving his CoI LP unfinished. Other LPers gave up midway. My computer died some time ago with its hard drive unsalvageable, so I lost all CoC progress. Is there a way to play case 4 without playing all the other cases over again?

All cases in pywright games can be played from the start without having to complete the others first. Also I'm sure Cardiovore will include some way to jump directly to part 2 of case 4 when it's released.

I just realized how bittersweet the release will be compared to CoI's strictly happy one

With CoI, it got released, with us playing it happily and anticipating the release of CoC

With CoC's release, it's over for the "giant case series" fancases that are actively in dev:(
