I was wondering if anyone had the sound effects from the opening scene JFA Reunion, and Turnabout. I can't seem to find theme anywhere. Particularly of the car when it's riding and before it crashes. :ditz:
Oh, and that drumming sound effect from the opening of Turnabout Big Top and Farewell, My Turnabout. :cards: :jammin-ninja:

I know for a fact that the car driving is in the Pywright sfx folder. I can't seem to find the noise it makes right before the crash though. The crash sound effect is in there too.

Thanks for that tip, Ropfa. For some reason it was in the AJ folder I have. I'll play around with it in Audacity and see what I can do with it. I also found the drumming sound effect, but it sounds cut off.

You can look forward to playing Case three soon, since I just got the all the backgrounds from my artists. All I'm waiting on now is a few more thing and the first part of Case 3 will be released soon. :godot:

Update!
Yeah, I should have written this a while ago. Anyway, I've gotten most of the art for the game and just need a few more pieces from my artists. Other then that, the first part of the third case is complete. I'll share one more piece to tide you over:
Spoiler:
Image

So yeah. THAT character will be in this case, and you will love THAT character when THEY show up... :pearl: Oh... YEAH! I just had to hit that smiley and ruin my vagueness!! Grrr!!! Bad hand!!

I've finaly finished Highschool Turnabout, and I have to say I liked it a lot. It was well written and looked great. I wrote down my thoughts as I played it, and I'm going to place the whole thing on here, from start to finnish. Some of it is a bit pointless, and some remarks only make sence in context, but please try to stick with me, there are sensible comments in there.

Notes Highschool turnabout
Spoiler: Day 1: Investigation
Lots and lots of writing mistakes:
"Stop grabbing the paper!"? That just sounds weird!
"House room Teacher" sounds realy weird to. What does that even mean?
"Do you know when the killing happened?"
Why is Phoenix talking like he's in some cheap gangster movie? It sounds realy insensitive. A kid is DEAD here, after all.
When they say "garbage bin" and "garbage pale", do they mean a garbage container and a trash can? What is a "garbage pale" anyway?
"It doesn't look destroyed." I think you say "broken" in a sentence like that.

I like how Gumshoe acts. Very In-character. Well done!

They say the crime happened between 8:00 and 8:30, but if the crime happened at night, shouldn't that be between 20:00 and 20:30?
At least say AM or PM!

"Custodian"... "Custodial cart"... there's a lot of official words flying around for a janitor. Not realy complaining though, I'm just nitpicking.

Spoiler: Day 2: Trail, Part 1
Lots and lots of writing mistakes:
there are comma's, all over the place, in unexpected, places, like when Hawk says: "I was hoping you and I would, cross paths, eventually."
It's "lying" Gumshoe, not "laying".
"flat/horizontal"? Udgy is amazing, being able to pronounce that!
It's "Four-eyes", Hugo. (Numbers are written out in "spoken" language when they're under 20/twenty.)
Wait, what's undependable? Does he mean "unreliable"?

More of a typo than a writing mistake, so it gets a line all to it's own: When thinking about Hugo's second testimony, Phoenix's lines are in [']'s(I don't know what those are called).
Another typo(i'm going to make this a section too): In his third testimony, Hugo says: Things go out the one ear and out the other."
--

"This is this and that is that." "This is what I'm going to do!" Phoenix sounds rather simple in his pre-trail monologue, huh?

Here comes the Hawk. I love this guy.

There! Gumshoe said "between 8:00 and 8:30 'PM'"! That's what I was talking about!

It looks kind of weird when a character's
sentence is broken off

because it doesn't fit in his textbox.
Maybe you could try refraising some things, breaking sentenses in half.

There it is again! Now it's Hawk saying "killing", instead of something more apropriate. Realy?! I mean, come on!

Hawk realy is amazing. He's crushed Phoenix's first contradiction without a singel Objection! I love this guy.

Good one, your honor, not jumping to conclusions for once.

Hugo's testimony... This should be interesting.

Have I mentioned that I hate this particular Cross-Examination theme yet?

There it is! Hawk's first Objection! Good voice, nicely articulated... I like it!

Phoenix obviously never learned how to play dumb either.

"Four-eyes"? *sweat*

And there's the second screwup we were all waiting for...

Annnnnnd look who's late to the punchline!
(why, yes, I do read TV Tropes)

Hawk has a themesong!

Poor Hugo...

Spoiler: Day 2: Trial, Part 2
Lots and lots of writing mistakes:
Comma's, everywhere, still.
"I brought the body to the first floor as well". That "As well" isn't realy nessisary, is it?
Phoenix doesn't realy need to say: "We'll only find out by pressing him." We can think that up on our own.
I think "before hand" is actualy one word. (beforehand)
--
Typo bucket:
At one point, Hawk says: "Now that you mentioned it." I think that's just supposed to be "mention"
Before Oats' next-to-final testimony(-It had to be Sherman-), Phoenix says: "I don't have any intentions of giving up!" I think that's supposed to be "Intention".
In the same testimony, while revealing the contradiction, Phoenix says: "My point all comes down to this". I think that's just supposed to be "my point comes down to this".
"the floor tile must have came loose" should be: "come loose".
"Where could another knife HAVE come from?"
--

First contradiction! Hurray!

Udgy must be hard of hearing, the way he repeats everything Oats says.

The testimony is called: "-Was he alright?-"? We already know he wasn't!

You know, I think this music is starting to warm on me.

How rude, Phoenix!

Poor Hawk, that looked like it hurt.

Pun VERY much intended!

I thought it was weird that he didn't mention the light from his office, but you thought of that already.

Oats... that speech just gave me the chills.

So now we're looking for the real murder site. Interesting development.

Oats, Oats, Oats. Tampering with a crime scene is a serious offence.
Hawk looks like he can drink Phoenix's blood, by the way.

Ho boy, now we're gonna get it. Hawk's angy!

Well, forgetting your keys in your office isn't that unusual... *grumble*
(acting since he doesn't realy have an office)

No, he doesn't.

Like a deflating baloon.

"OBJECTION!"

A penalty?! I would have thought the trail would be over if we messed up here!

Not all prossecutors are Von Karmas, Phoenix.

So, the truth is out at last. Time for the final cross-examination.

On an unrelated note, I have to say I love the art in this game. The origional sprites and artwork look so good!

IT'S TIME TO PLAY "SPOT THE COMPLETELY OUT OF PLACE PORTAL REFERENCE"! EVERYBODY GATHER ROUND!

But... Why did he try to make it look like the crime scene was downstairs? He hasn't explained that!

NO! Crap! How did this happen?!

Saved by the HAWK?!?!? WHAT!?

wow... Hawk realy IS amazing...

Spoiler: Day 2: Investigation
Okay, here we go. Time to finaly Officialy start with the new game!
--
Lots and Lots of writing mistakes:
Wow... Nothing in this section! Huray!
--
Typo Bucket:
It's Naval, Gumshoe, not Navel.
It's "Do you HEAR that", not "Do you here that", Maya.(Inside D-205)
I think you mean "worst", Nick.(presenting to Stuard)

--

"I'm an Ace Attorney!"? Getting Cajones, Phoenix?
--
Present: Maya
--
Sherman Digits:
Ooh! Foreshadowing!

Natasha Strictly:
Don't we all, Phoenix, don't we all.
--

It's a bit weird that you can still only go to TLH through the Detention centre, while there's nothing to do there. Phoenix should at least make a remark about Sherman being in questioning or something. Or we could just go there straight from the office.

Phoenix is getting ahead of us again.

SEE! Now they say it!

Psyche Lock. Well, that was to be expected. Phoenix seems rather relaxed about it though.
what? that's it? That was easy...

So I've broken the Psyche Lock, but why am I suddenly alowed to go to D2?

I know. I watch JAG too.

Edgeworth knows Hawk!?

Ema...

I like how Gumshoe actualy knows about Luminol... But isn't he afraid of blood?(He is in AAI)

I'm pretty sure Maya doesn't just want to take that bottle along just to give it back...

Wait... Now I can't go back to the office!

Yes, a painfully obvious clue is staring us right in the face.

--
Bug Alert: After Hugo arives, you can still Bsearch the closet, find the bag, and hear Hugo arive again.
--

Hugo looks so down. Poor guy.

--
HOLD IT: If the D-2 hallway is the crime scene, and you can only get into the classrooms through the hallway, they would be off-limits to everyone right?! Including Hugo!
--

If no-one came in, than why was Hugo picking up the trash. The cans would be empty, right?

Psyche Lock. Called It!

--
Present: Natasha Strictly
--
Luis Hawk: Poor Hawk. Poor Natasha.
--

If Stuard stays by the front entrance, why does he dissapear?

I feel another PL comming up...Nope.

I can see who that is in that picture... Things are becomming a lot clearer now... or a lot murkier.

All right, Ms Stricktly, let's see what you've got to hide!

Ah! So Phoenix isn't blind after all! But why did he say he couldn't see who was in the picture before if he knows now?

--
Bug Alert! After you break Ms. Strictly's Psyiche Lock, the revised version of the Graffiti Artist Photo is added to the Court Record, but the old one is still there, meaning you have it twice.
--

Stuart was here?! This is getting interesting!

Its the Hawk!

Spoiler: Day 3: Trail
This is it.
--
Lots and lots of writing mistakes:
Bit lenient with the orange letters, aren't we?
--
Typo Bucket:
It's "to mistake for", not "to mistake as". Understandable mistike.
--

Here he comes... Stuart takes the stand...

Farming has quite a lot to do with Math, actualy.
Wow... That's quite a longshot, Phoenix. Even for you.

--
HOLD IT: Why would Stuard need to steal a 20 year old magazine to know what Sherman looked like? He was there every day! Surely he must have seen him at one point or another!
--

And the Hawk Stikes again!

--
HOLD IT! This just occurd to me, but if Mr. Oats saw the killer flee into a classroom, why didn't he persue him? I'd think the only reason to give up on something like that is if you lose track of the criminal, and those classrooms don't have any other exits!
Instead, Oats left to search for cleaning supplies, letting the killer escape!
--
Oh... That's why...

Lyle set him up... Dirty bastard.

That kid has a SERIOUS problem with overreaction!

The link to the bag is rather far feched. I feels like it's being pulled out of a hat. Maybe you could make it so Phoenix has to prove the murder weapon could somehow have been taken out of the classroom? That would link it to the bag.

You know, it's reeeealy hard to spot that ruler, it being all the way on the bottem of the pile and all. I didn't even know what it was supposed to be before I clicked on it.

It's great that Hawk helped Stuart out and all, but the kid IS guilty of second degree murder. That's not a light offence. The lightest punishment you'd get for that is a long prison sentence, even if you're 17.

Hmm... You have to make sure you go over everything when you talk to people in each scene. I fumbled alot when it came to programming and the next scene flag would only set when everything was said and done with. A good sign to go by when your sure you've done everything is when the music stops.
Fortunately, this problem won't occur again when Turnabout Deradevils comes out. Sorry for that happening to you. When I get a chance I'll try and fix the problem.

For the past few days I've been going over TaJ and fixing some technical issues, such as Evidence boxes and Evidence getting in the first five chapters.(got rid of the FG evidence boxes.) Minor Script changes have been made as I went over the game as well, so there a a slight improvements with the story. You can download the new TaJ game or DL it here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?om2h3rrjgc8sihh

Sorry Case 3 is taking a little long. It's more or less done, just waiting on art from the artists. Until then I'll work on writing the rest of case 3 so we won't have to wait too long between cases this time around. :gant:

A small hiccup was brought to my attention with Checkmate and Turnabout.
Go into the intro.txt (In both chapters)and replace autopsy with autopsyreport. Sorry for that. When you fix one thing, your forget to fix the other.

Hey, Mediafire isn't working for me, when I go to any links (not just the link for your game, but for any game that's download link is a mediafire link) I have no idea why, but I get an Error 500 and what not...if its not too much trouble could you upload your game to a different File Hosting website? Or on Pywrights website? Because just as you all are, I am a big Ace Attorney Fan, and I can't get enough of it, and when I found this website and played Contempt Of Court, I was like "God bless these people" you guys are making some real good games on here, almost on Takumi Shu's level, not very far from his level in fact...keep it up, everyone...I'd like to play this game, so if anyone could be kind enough to upload it somewhere else besides mediafire, that would be great...Thanks

PS. Yes I posted this in another game's topic as well, and I'm reposting it here because well...I want to download both games so its only logical that I'd request a different File Host link in both topics...sorry if I'm breaking any guidelines, I have read through them, but I apologise in advance if I missed anything...Thanks agen

Okay, just for the sake of downloading issues, I made a Rapidshare account and put TaJ as a DL link there.

I'm not gonna sign up for another upload account, so MediaFire and Rapidshare are the only Download options there are. If you can't DL them, Sorry.

Rapidshare has been having a lot of technical problems lately, and has capped their download rate to a pathetic 30kb/s. Thus, if you want people to be able to enjoy your game, I'd drop Rapidshare as a host entirely.

Also, you could upload to any of the multiple free upload sites that don't require accounts.

As for the game itself, I'm enjoying it quite a lot so far. Great work! One little suggestion I might make is a new voice for Maya. The voice sounds.... very young.

I have a small update to give on the status of the game. I recently got some long awaited art in for the opening cinematic for Case three. I'm still waiting on some character Art, but that shouldn't be too long. If I can get everything I need from the artists soon, we might get three chapters up for case Turnabout Daredevils' arrival.
Sorry for the long wait, but we should have plenty of case to play when Episode 3 is released.

Okay. Here's the deal. I NEED Beta testers for the next Episode of Trials after Justice. I have about three chapter done so it's a heafty play.
Things I know I will need help with are grammar and bug tests. After you receive it, let me know what needs fixing. I'll have three slots open for those who want to play. Just send a PM if you want in.
1. Ropfa :phoenix:
2. JoekerTrack :maya:
3._______ :pearl:
Just a warning though. Some graphics for the game aren't done yet so pay no mind to them. They'll be fixed in a later version.

It's taken alot to get to this point, but I'm glad I'm able to get this far! After you've played through this, I hope you look forward to the next chapters and the last episode, Turnabout Legends. My thoughts so far:

Spoiler:
-I haven't noticed any canon characters being particularly out of character. Once again, this seems to be a strong point with your cases.

-Mr. Macintosh and his nomming. He's silly.

-LOL @ Maya's conversation with Hawk in the dressing room. I think I was chuckling the entire time through that. Getting Hawk to do what you want by having Maya annoy him. Reminds me of a certain character on a certain TV show...

-The witness is gonna be Lotta Hart, isn't it?
...
Yeah, it is. Dammit.

“I saw them primary colors on it; the Red White and Blue.” LOL

That last court section. I lol'd.

There were some spelling errors. I've sent you a PM for all the ones that I've found.

At this point, I'm predicting Patty Destreen to have a bigger role in the plot besides just being the victim. Right now, the whole innocent bystander thing just seems a bit too... convenient.

I don’t currently have a main suspect. I don’t think Manley did it, since he’s infatuated with Dera and wouldn’t want to frame her. Both the other two guys seem to like her a lot too, but maybe one of them’s faking it...
Or, you know, it might've been Gumshoe and he was just lying to us the whole time. That would be a plot twist.

So far, this is turning out to be my favorite of your three cases (although it's only halfway done). Good work.

Got your PM and applied said fixes. And I'm glad you're enjoying so far.

Spoiler:
Like I've always said: if you play the game as many times as I have, you get to know the characters enough to write them well. (I've played them all, like, 50 times each or something. :meekins:
I did want to show Hawk as a human being, who has his own interests and hobbies, and Maya was the perfect person to make him share them with us. :maya:
What!? everyone loves Lotta. :lotta-angry:

Thanks for the help on the spelling mistakes, Ropfa. :jake:

I always wanted to ask, SilentBobX
Spoiler:
Does this a coincidence that initials on the handle of knife matches with Stuart Dentlee's?

Spoiler:
Yes that's just a coincidence. Stuart never owned a custodial knife, so he used the thick metal T-shape ruler instead.

I haven't played that much of the chapter yet, so I'm not going to check the spoilers to see if someone's said this already, but...
Spoiler:
Phoenix shouldn't just tell the audience important plot exposition (like he does at the start). It comes across as OOC and even a bit lazy(Sorry). It would be better to find out about things like DD's crime through dialogue, maybe through them talking to Gumshoo of something.

Serve the Story - that's one of my rules.

That wasn't an objection, honest! I was just pointing someone to the bus stop!

Tell me, SilentBobX, who is author of Wright's "assistance" sprite (case 1 of yours)? I want to talk to him.

Honestly, I don't remember. It's probably someone who hasn't been to the forum in years.

I have to say that this game is simply amazing. While playing it honestly feels like this game was made by Capcom.

Spoiler:
From Maya defending in the first trial, to all the references to past characters and events, and everything else that has made this game an enjoyable experience.

Just finished the 3rd part of Turnabout Daredevils (that whole thing btwn Phoenix and Hawk not being about to talk about boobs was hilarious) and Lotta was really spot on. I noticed I have an older download that doesn't have part 4, and was like "NOOOO! It can't be over." So I google'd the game name and found this thread, very glad to see the game is still being worked on.

Thanks for making such an awesome Ace Attorney game, and good luck with finishing the final case. Can't wait to delve into that and the last bit of Daredevils. I have a feeling that Hawk and the victim may be connected in some way, the way he acts when she's mentioned at some points, but I could be way off...

Very curious to see what this lesson is that Hawk wants to teach Nick.

So yeah... It's kinda been knawing at me lately to have a website made for Trials after Justice.
Not that I don't like the forums, it's just I need a place to attract more people and not just point them here to download the game. I guess I just want to make it easier for people to find my game. If you're interested in seeing the site, it's over this way:
www.trialsafterjustice.com
I'll also be uploading other things besides the game. Like art and case descriptions and that sort of junk. Hope you guys like it. :phoenix:

Good site. But I would recommend you not to post all the pictures and arts in Gallery. Or leave "Spoiler Alert".
